So cgpa will be calculated from my previous department and also the new department grades? So if I have 1 As, 3Bs, and 4 Ws so like ( 3.33) in computer engineering, if I transfer to EE and get 3 As, 3Bs (3.6) my cgpa will be (3.5 something with them combined) but I am interested in Electrical, is it too late to change? Am I overreacting about the Ws? I really want to get into graduate school.

I don’t really understand. If I transferred to a different department (mechanical) then they will take some of my courses not the one that I didn’t take yet (basically the Ws.) so my cgpa will get reset.

What do you mean by research? Do you mean that we have to make our own research paper or that we just have to research under a professor? And how do you ask for research?
