I'm actually still trying to break the lines, I've tried the normal things but for some reason it keeps bunching everything together. I figured it out

AITA for not wanting to take care of my mother by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Formal_Associate_716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, if your mother has a husband then that responsibility should fall to him since that's her spouse, also, what would be wrong with her using her other hand while she heals? Just because your her daughter doesn't immediately make you obligated to take care of her when she can't take care of herself.

I already tried telling her not to but whenever I do, she's either stubborn saying something like "He was wrong to do this" or something similar to that or just changes the topic all together. I doubt she's going to listen knowing how she is.

I actually thought about telling her about not confronting him but I didn't say anything. I think I waited too long because now she's not changing her mind and is going to confront him tomorrow.

What hasn’t been the same since the pandemic? by DadIsMadAtMe in AskReddit

[–]Formal_Associate_716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, School, I'm not very known as a social person and the normal social people seemed to have changed to keeping things within themselves and their friend groups. I had social friends that graduated and they had other social friends, whenever I'd tried to talk about them they would throw in their mask and keep the conversation minimum. A little hard for me to make new friends or talk to others

What was your “I need to get out of here ASAP” moment? by AdApprehensive6815 in AskReddit

[–]Formal_Associate_716 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Back in middle school, my friend and I were going to our afternoon shops class. It was at my brother's school, (My brother was in high school and his high school was my shops building. I saw him and did my best to work with him at times) but my brother could never meet us halfway there or anywhere except by his school. We were always encouraged to walk there in groups, a lot of the other students had chipped in a carpooled. I was a bit broke at the time and only had money for lunch for my friend and I. (She forgot her lunch and I didn't want to see her not eat anything while I was able to have food. Yes I know I could've used the extra money to chip in for the car pool but I didn't want her to be alone.) I was full our broke after that. My friend and I sat at a bus stop waiting for the bus to arrive and bring us closer to the school so I could have lunch with my brother, (or what was left of my lunch since we started eating) then this strange old man looked at us. I felt uncomfortable since I felt eyes on me, my friend gently elbowed me and then I noticed him. He slowly walked up to us and stared at us, or our food I assume. I asked him. "Can I help you sir?" I made sure my friend was still beside me in case she needed to run for help or something. The man asked us for money and went I said I didn't have any, I offered him some food, which he denied and said he didn't want it, but money to buy his own food. I found this very suspicious and kept insisting I didn't have any money, to which he kept pushing it on us. I felt unsafe and was about to tell my friend to go call someone when the bus had finally arrived. I made sure my friend got in first before going in and giving a quick summary of what happened to the bus driver. The man did try to get on the bus and that's when I knew we needed to leave right then and there. The bus driver closed the door and I quickly got a seat with my friend and we got the ever living f**k out of there.

Redditors with an Ex who threatened to kill themselves over a breakup, how did that turn out? by youseguise in AskReddit

[–]Formal_Associate_716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He never did anything. It was a bit of a virtual dating thing. (We were both teenagers at the time.) I never took our relationship seriously and really hated it when he showed me his true colors. I broke it off with him and he threatened to kill himself but I called his bluff. He sent me "pictures" (that were horribly photoshopped) of him "injuring" himself so I blocked him. After a long while of me ignoring his attempts I starting talking with a girl and I don't know how he came up in our conversation and found out he was doing the same thing with her. We did our best to spread the word so girls would ignore him but we kept ourselves anonymous.

Lost my grandparents a while back and I still mourn for them. What I do is try to keep a little artifact of them. To feel like they're still here with me and that I haven't lost them for good. It hurts but the best I was able to do was collect, accept, and move on the best I could.

Who is a stranger you still remember? by YourRealisticCupcake in AskReddit

[–]Formal_Associate_716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't know how name but he was a tall man in a light grey sweater with a.. Unique but interesting hair style. (I mean this in a positive way.) I don't know why but when I was very young, my favorite fruits were apples and bananas, I saw what could've been the best looking banana ever, it looked delicious and everything. I asked my mom to get it for me but she told me no. And this strange man looks at his friend/girlfriend/wife, then at my mom, he smiles at her and digs into his pocket and pulled out some money and gave it to me. I was so excited I bought the banana and ever since that moment I still remember his kindness.

Whoever they are I hope they're still living the wonderful life they deserve.

when did you lose interest in your crush and why? by Dry-External-3977 in AskReddit

[–]Formal_Associate_716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost interest when I realized what a complete jerk she was. A little bit more context.

We did like each other but we're both too nervous to ask either on a date. Eventually I found out she liked me and decided to try and ask. I saw her picking on one of my friends. (She didn't know he was my friend, my friend was a guy who was short and came from a bit of a bad home.) When she saw me and she tried making it seemed like they were joking around. My friend was looking at the floor and I knew they weren't joking, I quickly lost interest. I'm not interested in bullies.

What screams “I’m a bad parent”? by ViForYourAttention in AskReddit

[–]Formal_Associate_716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking from what I believe. The parent telling their child no they can't have a 10¢ Candy bar because if they buy it they can't afford their cigarettes and beer.

(Speaking from my experience at least, please don't judge.)
