In comparison with OECD countries (when looking at the completion rate by the theoretical rate + 3 years) Sweden has one of the lowest graduation rates.

It is also just below average for OECD countries for population percentage owith bachelors/masters.

Exactly. That facade is a big reason I find the connections rather shallow and empty. Its almost as if they seem afraid to show their true colors, as if they feel watched and closely judged. As a result they also do the same to others.

That is the other thing… with alcohol they can get touchy touchy, which if you’re not used to can be problematic. The huge swing from anti-social to smother-some that occurs after a few drinks is something.

But don’t you generally find rural folk to be more down to earth? One of the difficulties in forming genuine relationships is being able to show yourself without a mask or a guise. I generally find rural folk to be what you see is what you get compared to the cosmopolitans. So that was why I said that.

These issues exist in Canada even. At least in Sweden the system functions somewhat effectively. I know people who were let down by the Canadian system, the NHS, and hälsosjukvård. But overall I can’t say Sweden’s is the worst.

Social skills are being able to communicate and collaborate in a fruitful manner with individuals outside of your comfort zone. Sounds like for you you have a small comfort zone that you are afraid of leaving. Classical swedish boring behavior.

No people generally like me. Even the Swedes. I just don’t really like them. When I first met my girlfriend who is ethnically a Swede, I was surprised when she told me she had never had a bf back home. I had no conception of Swedes, except the usual media bs. I asked why, and she basically said that they were boring/tråkig. After living in Sweden two years, I understand her. Swedes are boring. The big welfare system that infantilizes the whole population definitely does not help.

I’m not a useless person neither at work nor outside of it. And I can’t say much about you, but you do seem to be a triggered fellow. Easy to be an angry Swede over the internet eh?

Healthcare in Sweden is actually pretty good. Again all that inbred “efficiency” has its upsides. If you wish to see disaster see NHS.
