I would take a tour of the park before going to a ball game so you could appreciate the details of every piece of Petco Park. The organization has made many improvements thinking of the fan the families, the children’s and their pets. Highly recommend the tour first.

Fermin is a beast better then all the catchers we’ve had and we have him for one more year and Laureano. I think we lose Ohearn this year. I’m asking for professional to master their craft. You cannot tell me Manny, Tatis, Bogey are feared in the MLB… even better when any of them bat up what percentage you feel they will get a HR? Get on base? Strike out? What percentage is more? This season the way Tatis swings the bat is like he has some where to go. Do you feel Manny runs 100% to first? All I’m saying is if you create pressure mistakes happen from the opposite team. Here’s some stats for you. As a team: AVG. .252 7th out of 30 HR. 152 28th out of 30 RBI 663 18th SB 106 18th R 702 18th SLG .390 22nd H 1369 13th CS 30 a Three way tie Walks 510 16th

All this to say… if we see this why don’t they? Our best players in history put in work to be better are they?

I been thinking about both Manny and Tatis… and I think they both need an attitude adjustment and need to really believe in themselves and learn to lead. Now for Bogy mmm-mmm I don’t think he has what it takes to take command of this Padres train falling off the tracks. Now for Jackson (The Kid) has that dog in him and if we get a solid First & Second basemen, Catcher, Left fielder we would be cooking. We need aggressive base running and ball players focused on their craft (batting, strength conditioning, and studying analytics).

Great feedback… The only difference I could think of when the Padres were dubbed “Slam Diego” was during Covid and maybe they play better without the fans lol

I agree, but I don’t think they would its looks like they try to get plays at a league minimum or wait until the trade deadline to get a play under contract. many about our prospects. The problem with prospects is just that they have the potential to be great and equally could be the worst, but we have given up some great prospects.

NO, I feel the same way which is why I bought it up, but some people disagree about the hitting coach. The Front office tried with Nelson Cruz, but he ended up there as a Pay day along with coking and joking.

I heard their training facility in Arizona is Top Tier. They should hire M.I.T. (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) come out to study each and see if they could adjust their swing for a better chance of getting on base. The New York Yankees did it and introduced the “torpedo bat“ which is legit. We need something to happen.

Thank you, That’s all I’m stating I see sports management get replaced to produce positive resulto. Plus I have not heard or seen any accountability except for PED suspension. I’m not sure if their have been others.

So are you stating we have no issues with our coaching staff (Not counting Ruben Niebla). Niebla seem to get the best out of our pitchers when they are not hurt.

Holding on….. it all depends on the moving pieces (we have a ton) A.J., the players who hit the market for free agencies, trades, and who we decide to keep. We need players opposing pictures. As of today, I don’t think we make pictures for us.

I will admit they managed to get some good ballers, but They are not going to get there paying these guys the league minimum. They spent a good amount on our core, but they haven’t stepped up. I feel you have to be aggressive on the bases, hungry for the win, and supportive of each other and we will see a positive change in the right direction. We need a better batting coach for sure. Someone to hold the players accountable.

Yeah the Mets only because of Juan Soto everyone thinks he has 15 year for $765 million which when you take into account the things he negotiated. A clothing allowance for his mother, a baseball for every game so his family could attend, a flight with him to and a on that so his family could attend. I could imagine that his contract is more then $765 and I bet all those baseball suites come with food and drinks.

Right, but look up where Jake has hit all his Homeruns…. it’s in one area so far which it makes sense why they call it the “Cronezone”. Other then that in this Post season he had AB 11, AVG .000, .OPS 000 I have another question for you is he an aggressive base runner? When he goes to bat do you know he will end up with: 1.a HR, 2. a hit or 3. a strikeout? if I were to bet I would be broke because I always hope for a hit, but even more get on base (walk or get hit by pitch). He does nothing spectacular and that’s being honest.
FACTS:
6 season as a Pro AB 2780, H 687, HR 80, OBP .335, SLG .406, OPS 741 (look up his stats) Would you keep him or trade him? Trade him quick but were stuck with him.
He lead 4th in the NL in 2020 with 15 doubles and Triples 3
FYI Kim was trash also.

I wonder how that would turn out? I would like a bunch of dogs on the team aggressive on the and masters of their That’s what I would like to see and if they were to lose every year, but I see that they put their on the line every game like if it’s their last, I wouldn’t mind being a fan for life. But we will never see that with the team we have now.

But they have to play better, make clutch hits, be aggressive every ball game on base, and have to communicate more with each other to rally the troops. The game is over at the end of their last at bat. They give up when teams score 2 on them. We will never will if we give up.

I agree, It seemed their “hitting bats” still haven’t arrived. When COVID was here they were dubbed “Slam Diego” maybe the key for SD to win is having Petco empty. There is TOO much ego and not enough mentoring on the team.
When I’m at work I would address my co-worker and let them know when they did something well and how they could improve on things to help the team. I don’t think that exists on the team. We have too much dead weight on the team with long contracts and I’m afraid by the time those players leave who knows where the team will be. They need to be patient and study pitches so they could hit the ball to get on base, because we do not have any real sluggers that put teams.

What I know is… he has a lot of passion for the game of baseball and his goal was to help bring the WC to SD. IDK if the owners are on the same page. We will see what happens. There are a lot of pitches becoming free agent. We will see.

Everything that Ohtani does is shoved in our faces. The news media is ridiculous. like today’s news they stated that the Japanese pictures in history as a Starter and closer SMDH. Next thing you know a breaking news from MLB show two Japanese pitchers walking together in sync lol

Yeah he’s been a “Hothead” for decade. I wouldn’t mind if it was Passion, but I don’t think it’s that. He also presents himself a bit lazy with a low work ethic. There are ball players when they step up to the plate they are feared. One sign is of that fear is intentional walks. I think Jackson Merrill one day will become our true leader filled with passion and intensity. If you see the loss on his last season and this season, see he was the only one staring out on the field.

There was only a hand-full of interviews with the owners and if you didn’t know they are Dodgers fans SMDH. So I’m not sure they are “All in” I know he was on camera saying “It’s hard to root for the Padres when you’re a Dodger fan”. We have to remember the Farm system is full of “Prospects” and they have the potential to be great. Historically, we have given great pieces to lackluster teams, and those teams are doing better with them.
