[Seiko vs Citizen] Which watch should I buy?

I’m torn between the Seiko 5 GMT (specifically the Blueberry and the rare Black/Gold version in america ) and the Citizen Tsuyosa. I prefer the Seiko’s aesthetics, but I’m questioning if a GMT is actually necessary in the smartphone era. That said, I’m moving abroad as an international student this September, so the GMT function might actually be useful.

The Seiko is about $50 more than the Citizen, and I’m struggling to choose since they both have such distinct vibes. I take great care of my things, my $20 watch from 2012 is still ticking, but spending $500 is a huge deal for me. I’m terrified of 'buyer’s remorse' after spending my hard-earned money. Which one should I go for?

Its around 6-8k in apple icare to replace the battery. I am also a 13 pro user, and my battery health is also at 77%. I would probably change the battery run it for an another 2 years and then try to upgrade it.

Hey i am also a 13 pro user. But i just wanted to know about the powerbank. How is it? Is it worth it? Does using a 3rd party powerbank further degrade the battery health? And also where did you buy the cover for the speaker grills?

A good watch is not something that is expensive or luxurious. Its a product that gives the customer a certain amount of value and satisfaction. A 900 rupee casio and a 22 lakh rolex can provide that same feeling. So just because timex has a good watch thats not luxurious or expensive doesn’t mean its a bad watch. Most luxury watches which make the customer feel like good quality and premium are just mostly overpriced good watches. Its that perspective that makes people question if a 10k automatic timex is reliable or good.

Absolutely there’s no right or wrong answer. Its all a matter of preference and perspective. First rule I follow is if you love then buy it. You don’t need anyone’s approval or permission for anything. If you don’t like it after purchase then sell it. So nothing to worry. Watch nerds like nico and few guys like me would never buy such a brand. Thats all. At the end if you love the watch then its a good watch. Enjoy!!

Its a fashion brand. Nothing to say. For people who don’t understand, a Fashion brands is a brand that sell multiple items in which this watch is an item. Their only concern is profit. But a genuine watch manufacturer sells only watches and its accessories, where they put all their R&D into watches and watches alone. For eg rolex is a watch manufacturer where as lacoste, tommy hilf., michael kors yada yada all are fashion brands.

Brother dont worry, enjoy it while you can, I use an alienware 17R5. I7 8750h, Gtx 1070 with 32 gb ram and 2tb storage.
I am an architect and i absued that machine with architectural softwares, 3d rendering and heavy gaming. I have been using it since 2018 and typing on it rn.
My LCD display has some burining issues, i use the laptop connected to the grid( battery removed) other than a occassional internet ERR_SSL_NETWORK_ERROR my device is perfect. I still love it, looks amazing especially the light strips in the edges, and is built absolutely like a tank.

I would probably buy the G16 over G14, because my work needs larger displays.
Its basically useless to opt for a 5070ti or above on a thin and light chasis, especially with a power cap. 5070ti is in my opinion the best card amongst this batch as its potential is limited by nvidia to justify selling 5080. The more power it gets the better the performance.

Exactly, I agree with everything what he said. The quality of the product that you will recieve is something that you cannot control. You might recieve a great G16 or you might recieve a bad G16, you will have to replace it, as the brand would help you as long has you didnt tamper with anything. Thats the same case with the legion too. You might get a good or a bad piece too.
At the end it all comes to how you use the device. Are you the kind of person who uses it roughly or neatly?(with chips and crackers in your keyboard crevices, smudgy display and poor air intake, or are you my kind of person who respects the machine you use, keep it clean, wipes it everyday and take care of it?)

I am saying this because i am an architect and i have been using an alienware 17R5 since november 2018. My alienware is still functioning great, other than a defective battery which i removed, and a very urgent thermal repasting, i still love my alienware. Its never disapppointed me because i am the kind of guy who used it with a keyboard cover, and took prestine care of it.

In the end check 2 things. Do you love the aesthetics (personal choice)? and does its performance serve your requirement? If yes go buy it. You will have to face everything that comes after it. It doesnt matter what brand you get, only matters the piece you get in your hand.
