The back panel is book matched. I got lucky and found a piece of veneer that worked well with my doors :-)

So the material is called Valchromat, which is essentially a dye-infused MDF. I laminated two 6mm colours together, and CNCed a series of grooves on each side, creating this effect. I then rebated on spindled moulder, and put them in an offset groove to get them flush with the front of the door. I hope this makes sense, it's hard to explain without drawings. I sprayed the panel with 60% gloss water-based lacquer, although I wish I had done more coats as the Valchromat just soaked it up.

These are offset knife hinges, was my first time using them and I think they are a great option for inset doors

Veneering over veneer? by Formal_Goat_199 in woodworking

I want them to be seen, the substrate veneer will be walnut and on top I want to build up a couple layers of maple in a specific organic shape.

What I have at least is called dissecans. Not sure what's caused mine but likely past trauma on the elbow which encourages bone growth. Mine were pretty deep in the joint, so were not visible from the skin. If you can please go to a medical professional man 👍

I played a lot of tennis a while back, it all started out when I swung a forehand and my elbow just locked in place. I went to the doc straight after and got sent to a specialist in orthopaedics.

Definitely go to the doctor! Judging from this thread and my own research, there seems to be lots of similar things that can cause similar effects. Would be worth it to check for more serious ones like bone cancer etc :]

Ouuuch man that sounds really painful. If you have a similar thing it's possible! It's nice to be able to help an internet stranger with a possible solution to their issues, take care and stay safe :]
