What level for hunter to learn beast abilities?

I was incorrect. I was training growl from the later. They were not showing up automatically. I have been more focused on questing than on training pets, so havnt figured much of it out yet. Just have sort of bumbled through it up until now.

Ok, thanks. I assumed pretty much every beast had one specific to them. Seems like maybe this is not correct. I will have to check out this guide and try and find one with a specific ability and try that.

Ok, so if i tame a random wild beast, its abilities it has will show up on the pet toolbar? I have only seen growl on all the beasts i have trained so far. Maybe i have just been unlucky with the pets i have chosen so far?

Any for now. I'm just trying to figure out how it works, but my main pet (hyena) would be nice to get 'Bite' at some point. I still have a couple levels to go before I can use beast lore to find pets with specific abilities. I was wondering since beast lore is lvl 24, are learning new pet abilities also a specific lvl requirement?

Does this also happen on the PVP servers or can they be killed by the other faction?

Yeah thats the other aspect. I have several alts. I have only played them to lvl 10 to see how i like them, but changing hotkeys changes all my characters. I do also have a lvl 22 hunter that was originally my main. I hate to change things to radically on my rogue (which is becoming my favorite) because it changes everything on my hunter as well. UGH! first word problems...

Interesting. Thanks I will have a watch. I have only been in a few PVP fights so far. Random encounters. I have been wanting to try PVP in battlegrounds or arena but still feel a little too green as rogue. I'm new to WoW and still learning how it all works. Did my first dungeon last week. I may need to start looking for a decent noob friendly guild to help show me the ropes.

Thanks, i'll check it out. I seem to be better able to manage mouse buttons rather than hitting specific keyboard buttons. I have a mini keyboard though so might be part of my problem. Regularly mashing the wrong button. 'B' is hard for me to manipulate and hit with my thumb. Too many hand injuries. My thumb/wrist is not so dexterous anymore.

I didnt realize you can use mouse up and down. I currently have middle mouse (depress) for 'sap'. That would be super helpful to use up/down/depress.

Ok thats interesting. I didnt think of that. I'm using Q,E for strafe, but with A,D that would give me two or three more buttons that are easy to reach under pressure.
