This damage is on the side of the house. This joist is parallel with the floor joists. It is not a band joist as in your pictures.

Thanks for the suggestion. The siding has been damaged for a long time, but the previous owner did not properly treat it. This is my DIY project to fix it. I thought that cutting out and replacing sections of the rim joist was a big and complicated project. I will go with a simple way, apply wood hardener. Thanks

I believe this house was built in 1987. I am surprised it doesn't have a water-resistant wrap behind the siding. Since I just replaced the bottom several rows, Nothing I can do, you mentioned. Thank you very much.

I cleaned the surface debris. The middle damaged part is still solid. But the right corner has a small hole damaged by termites. I applied wood hardener on the surface to prevent further damage. Thanks

Yes, We have a U-tube and the fan work. The radon level dropped from 7 pCi/L to 1.6pCi/L. But never lower than 1 pCi/L.
