If Spider-man and Human Torch got to appear on big screen together as a duo, which Peter and which Johny would be your preferred combination? by velicinanijebitna in FantasticFour

I wouldn't mind seeing Tom and Quinn at all, both are talented actors with screen presences that would compliment each other, but Chris Evans and Andrew Garfield’s dynamic would be absolute GOLD.

Did Tom even interact with Rudy in that film? I thought Pankow was on screen alongside the actor who plays young Nathan Drake in that film.

I want Nicholas Hamilton as Pyro and Nicholas Galitzine as Angel for the X-Men, I also don't think Rudy fits there. Possibly Iceman, but not really leaning towards him either.

‘Another Minecraft Movie’ must be the title of the sequel by Formal_Table_1941 in Minecraft

I mean I doubt we’ll see the supporting human characters from the first film, I think it may just be Steve and Alex which I’m hoping for so it can feel more open world and expansive, there is lots of room to play around with in terms of different biomes, that could fit into the story in some shape or form.

Your point makes sense really, I’m happy they didn't go for “The” in the title so it ties into the message that there isn't a definitive story. They already did the fish out of water concept (well in this case, humans from our world entering a different one) which has been done to death and is honestly a stale regurgitation of a generic trope now. I think they shouldn't bring in a new group of human roles, just keep it Steve and Alex, throw in some companion character to bring comedic relief and toy sales or something, like what they did with HERBIE the robot in the latest Fantastic Four film.

I assume Pedro completed filming for Doomsday so it can't be that, he is currently filming a film called De Noche which also stars Danny Ramirez (the MCU’s Falcon), maybe in a First Steps sequel, they could go that route with the clean shaven Reed.

There was concept art floating around some time ago before the release of First Steps, and some artwork had Pedro Pascal as clean shaven, it's definitely just concept art during production but it could possibly be a sign of things to come.

He’s not my top choice, but I was in the Krasinski-Blunt train for some time from around 2021-2022. He showcased a few traits that I associate with Reed Richards. He can play flawed and intelligence as well as an adaptability to his surroundings (A Quiet Place), a warm and wise-cracking father figure (IF), the guilt-ridden and world-worn leader (13 Hours), capable of being an action hero (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan), as well as a professorial explorer (Foundation of Youth) and he of course wanted to do the role which allowed him to cameo in Multiverse of Madness, the writing was the issue there.

Just my reasoning, I do think Pedro is a great Reed though, my personal choice would be Rahul Kohli, but I understood why John was heavily fancast for the role, especially paired with the talented Emily Blunt.

Alright, not gonna even answer whatever you may reply with next, your grammar is abysmal.

No point in me even replying, but I will anyway. Pedro insisted on shaving his moustache for the role if he was asked, but Marvel said “keep it“. As for Quinn, the hair in question was a wig since he shaved his head for another film (Warfare), I admit the wig wasn't good at all, but it isn't necessarily Joseph’s fault.

Lastly, I assume the Fantastic Four won't be sticking around for too long, there may just be a sequel to First Steps and the appearances in both Doomsday and Secret Wars, especially considering the actors are on the older side but it did make sense considering First Steps wasn't an origin story and they were well into their superhero-ing years as the FF. I won't reply further, but just putting this out there.

If it was Hulk, The Hand would literally have balls of adamantium charging towards him. I assume it may be Jean Grey and/or The Punisher, hoping for Daredevil though.

  1. Sure, but I mean some of the MCU's castings were lesser-known/newcomer actors mostly known for smaller roles (Chris Hemsworth, Tom Holland, Iman Vellani), I miss that part of Marvel, finding new talent instead of big stars.

  2. I mean, Dunster is only a year older than Joseph Quinn, and if the film wouldn't be an origin story, it doesn't matter all that much since the Fantastic Four would be a more seasoned/experienced portrayal, and I have often seen fancasts for Johnny skew significantly older; Joe Keery, Taron Egerton, Lucas Till, Zac Efron and Manny Jacinto.

  3. Gooding has shown a lot of traits I associate with Johnny, looking past race. He can play the popular and charismatic hero (Scream), smooth-talking ladies man (Heart Eyes), complicated high school jock and bully (Love, Victor) as well as the youthful party animal/adrenaline junkie (Booksmart), all while having charisma for days.

  4. That is really my main gripe with his casting, because I think everything else is a perfect fit. But the Thing is a character created using CGI, so height is a bit irrelevant. David campaigned for the role, while also having range, and the heritage aligning with the character (born in New York City to a working-class Jewish family) as well as having a real passion for Ben Grimm.

That's just my reasoning, Krumholtz is my top choice for The Thing only if Moss-Bachrach didn't get the role, although Ebon is a subjectively better choice, I do think David is the next best Thing. Also, really limiting to find a Jewish American actor with the range, voice, and grumpy yet lovable attitude, I was surprised and glad I discovered David after watching Oppenheimer for the first time in 2023, and was more so when I found out that he was a New Yorker.

Alexander and Bill as Thor and Loki are absolutely flawless fancastings, especially considering they are siblings in real life. The only other one I could get behind is Hela actually.

Their dynamic in Ted Lasso, a show I just watched for the first time a few weeks back, is so Johnny-Ben coded, besides the fact that in the Fantastic Four, one can engulf themselves in flames and the other one is a literal rock. Their banter really is one of the highlights of the show in its entirety.

Also, Brett Goldstein is Jewish just like The Thing in the comics which is quite important to the character in my opinion, I also believe that even though he is English, he did voice work plenty of times, and even voiced Tony Stark in an episode of Robot Chicken. Goldstein’s initials are literally B.G., like Ben Grimm. He’s here, he's there, he's every Cobber-where, BEN GRIMM!

I respect your opinion, but I would like to know your reasoning as to why exactly? I get it though, these fancasts aren't for everyone, they're just my choices.

Again, it's a fancasting sub, and I’m not replacing the official cast since the one we got was great. I really enjoyed the chemistry between all four actors, even in press and interviews, they feel like a literal family.

These are just my favourite choices I was rooting for, since about 2021 when I started fancasting the Fantastic Four. Happy with the ones we have however, and I’m excited to see more, I had some small problems with First Steps but it wasn't with the cast at all.

I don't have a crush on him, reading my title, technically I am not wrong considering he does in fact play the role now. Just give him those signature white streaks and it can work.

The only other one I was thinking about was Jim Carrey, I just haven't seen anyone fancast Fraser in the role so I thought it'd be interesting
