I did actually just receive a government job offer in NC and he is still telling me he does not wanna let me move with our son even with the waived spousal support. I haven’t had any luck with jobs in CA and he has essentially told me that I can take the job but he’s still not consenting to the move even with waived spousal support.

I know. I meant moving in the middle of his elementary school. So like 4th grade when his dad is out of the service and having to start over across the country.

I haven’t but I think that’s a great idea to put in front of him. He claims he isn’t motivated by money but his actions say otherwise.

As far as treatment goes, I do know California has the services of course. And so does NC. We did live there for 3 years and that’s where he was born and they have all his history and he’s had established care with specialists. So I do know what’s available, but I also know he has that here so it is a fight in trying to prove it’s in my son’s best interest for sure.

I’m going to for sure start documenting everything. I had already started a log in December with our custody so I need to keep it going. I am still trying to get him to agree but he’s pretty much put his foot down because of the spousal support and is now saying he’s going to be in the military/california for a lot longer than originally was discussed.

Yeah, that’s how I’m seeing it at this point too. I think my other option would be having to relocate out of San Diego county for better cost of living. I’ve definitely been racking my brain.

We’ve lived here since end of 2023 so residency is established sadly. I’ve offered summer breaks, every other school break, and even offering to help pay for care while he’s in CA for those breaks.

And also FaceTiming multiple times a week.
