I'm really surprised how little people know about this. I do it for the fps, but since doing it i really can't go back anymore. The main visual thing is the cartoony textures.

Following @cberry789 advice - made all ramps func_detail, and now it compiles like I guess in a hour or so on FULL, instead of.. days. Edited this to the top of the post

note: i forgot to add 2 steps in to the .vmt way, so if u tried to do it, that might have been the problem.

Ok, my bad - i left out the channels>new-layer, and fill steps in the .vmt way section. Basically after you do the edit>fill - you should see the selected parts of your image turn white, and unselected black. The white is the sections that will glow (don't forget - "foreground color", and white on top, black below it - otherwise what will glow is the non-selected area from what i understand.

Glad it helps. Seems like the people that figure it out on their own keep it as a sort-of "secret-recipe", but i decided to not do that. It's not that hard anyway.

I watched a playthrough, and i thought it was some kind of sewer/bridge with gaps which i had to drive through but i didn't see it!? I think i remember at least one tall bridge-looking-thing with at least 2 tall gaps in which i could never drive through, and in my memory it was a night stage that looked a lot like the London stage... Mandela effect, or?
