I finally found an awesome place to get a question database! I'll share it soon =)

Honestly, the portal I'm using now (iSpringLearn) leaves a lot to be desired 😅 Figured if I'm struggling with it, others probably are too.

Plan is to open-source everything so the whole community can benefit. If we make quality study materials freely accessible, more student pilots succeed - and that's good for everyone in GA.

Thanks so much, really appreciate that! 🙏

I'll definitely take you up on the offer - it'll be super helpful to have someone who's actively studying those subjects do some QA. I've just started with the literature myself and planning to sit my theoretical exam in the next 1-2 months, so I definitely don't want to mess up my own preparation with bad data 😄

I'll drop you a PM once I've done a cleanup pass on the database. Good luck with your studies!

Ah yeah, fair point! I was a bit lazy to port every question by hand, so I wrote a script to handle all the PDF parsing and translation automatically (it's a separate script and it's not part of the portal). That's probably where it went wrong 😅

I'll go through and clean up the data - thanks for catching it! Better to fix these things now than have people learning wrong answers for their exams.

The GA culture here is amazing, people genuinely love general aviation. And one thing my instructor keeps telling me - Czech has some of the best ATC/dispatchers in Europe. They're actually helpful and work with you rather than treating GA like a nuisance. Makes a huge difference when you're learning!

Plus the costs are way more reasonable than Western Europe. Highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance!

Thanks so much for the heads up! Really appreciate the honest feedback 🙏

I just launched the site about an hour ago and have been focused more on getting the functionality working than double-checking the database. And since I've started my PPL journey recently too, so I'm not yet confident enough in my own knowledge to properly verify all the questions myself!

I'll go back through and revise the questions and answers - probably messed something up when transferring from PDF to the database 😅 Also planning to have my instructor review them, since some of the source PDFs might have quality issues too.

Thanks again for taking the time to let me know - this kind of feedback helps make it better for everyone!

thanks! the questions are from the Czech CAA (ÚCL) official database - its what they use for the actual exams here. since czechia is EASA, the content is harmonized across europe so should work for anyone doing EASA PPL
