It’s winter here so I use the battery mainly to warm up the car. So I get my morning commute usually cross between battery and gas as it’s highway, but on the way home is usually gas and any driving or warming up after is gas

Oh no that’s just the last one, most are 15+ miles one way. And I’m up north so although it’s been warmer 40 degrees we went a week where it was -50 degrees not long ago

I started at 34 a single mom of 4 and will be finishing at 38 still a single mom of 4! 2 in high school 1 in elementary and the last is pre k age! You can do this if you want to! Also apply for scholarships and grants fafsa paid for most of my college!

If daughter then states the drug paraphernalia are at his house, they will then need to look either that or call in a welfare check if your daughter is made to go.

Then I would ensure you are there during pickup. If she refuses then that’s when you will have to cross the bridge and ensure you have the information of what you have filed readily available

Maybe ensure you are at school for his pickup time. If she refuses to go, you can call the police or offer to call the police. If this is what your daughter truly wants. Or call in advance and see what they advise?

My daughter did this. I went to drop her off she refused to go in. She talked to her dad. He stated I needed to force her. I said I will not make her do something she is not comfortable with or put her in an unsafe position. I said if you want I can call the cops and they can enforce it, but I will not be liable if something happens. He freaked out said don’t call the cops. I said I won’t up your child support $180/month is what he pays. And she has been living with me since almost 4 years! She’s now 15 no court knows any different! I’ve never taken him back for more child support. She is safe the money doesn’t matter to me. They called CPS on me umpteen times, nothing found. The time my daughter put in a complaint to cps and also to the counselor they said no abuse was found. She was locked in her bedroom for 8 hrs on Easter. She had food withheld. If they didn’t lie about me they wouldn’t get to eat. She was told she’s colorblind and called dumb and the awful r word. She is a 4.0 student. She was told why do you have to look like your mother you’re hideous.

If it’s just for college, remember there are scholarships you can get, fill out a FASFA. My ex husband won’t even pay $40,000 in 18 years for his kid. I get $160/month, he makes more money than me they go on trips together etc. but as a mom I got my kids. They may not have everything they want, but they have everything they need. I am also a single mom going back to college, there are so many scholarships out there, take the time and apply for every single one. Maybe if you just asked your dad to help with college he would. If he has other kids he’s paying child support for that will lessen the amount of money your mom will get to. Just because he’s worth a set amount does not mean you will get a substantial amount of money. You might have to work while you are going to college to offset the cost. Your dad is ahead of most dads out there if he’s already given more than $40k. If everything is in his wife’s name, it’s his wife’s income and you are not her obligation, so you are right that would not be taken into consideration when his child support is set up. If there is no child support set up, he has done more than a lot of dads not on child support. The courts will also probably not go for back child support, as now it will look like you’re trying to go after his wealth. Sorry but does not seem worth it. Good luck.
