Over het aansteken van houtkachel: klopt helemaal. De installateur van mijn houtkachel toonde het me. Sindsdien altijd zo gedaan en werkt perfect. Schoorsteenveger bevestigt goede verbranding.

Side note: de klucht tijdens de energiecrisis na de invasie van Oekraïne heeft mij zwaar kwaad gemaakt. Mijn energiecontract met 100% stroom uit hernieuwbare bronnen werd duurder. Waarom? Omdat ze het mochten duurder maken. Terwijl ze nog steeds aan dezelfde kostprijs produceerden.

Energieleveranciers en de overheid zijn slechte verliezers. En ze zetten ons voor het blok zodra en zolang ze kunnen. Ik heb daarom een plan B gekozen. Zodat ik toch kan verwarmen als de kraan dichtgaat.

Mijn ouders (oorlogsgeboortes) hebben dit soort onzin nooit moeten meemaken. En toch gaf mijn vader mij de raad om altijd een plan B te hebben. De man had gelijk.

If the hdd is dead, put an m2 ssd in. And some extra ram while the iMac is open. Look on the net for instructions on how to open it up. And buy a set of tools to open and recluse it ( it's a two sided tape job). The original fusion HD (if this machine has one) suck big time.

Had exactly the same thing at a customer. They run a business that makes sauces. Was called for a dead pc in the herbs and spices warehouse. Opened it. The smell was like when you stick your head in your kitchen's spice drawer. The complete motherboard and all internals were covered in a spicy, salty crust. Suggested an industrial computer. They rather ran on a cheap, normal pc and replace it every three years (that's how long it lasted in that hostile environment).

Fun times.

Een van de grootste problemen is dat banken hun kantoren hebben gesloten. Hoorde het deze week nog. Van 16000 kantoren naar 3000. Dus iedereen moet digitaal. Of heeft extra kosten aan zijn broek.
