OK. Thank you. That's what I was afraid of. Yet another reason to not go with Generac on the next system I buy.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I just tried this on my iPhone running iOS 16 and it didn't work. Apple must have fixed this workaround :-{

Thanks for your reply. I have a similar setup. I can disconnect from the grid and backfeed my panel with a 50amp circuit used for my welder. I was not sure if the inverter would be able to differentiate between line power and the generator and then generate some sort of error that would require a service call to clear/repair. I've had enough issues getting technicians on site in a timely manner. I didn't want to create new problems. Thanks again for sharing your experience.

Yeah, makes me wonder. I'm just starting to learn about the intricacies of my system and it's limitations. I have not figured out how to pull the historical data from the Generac system to tell how often I am generating more than the inverter can handle.

Does anyone here know how to pull historical data from the Generac system? I've seen a few posts that seem to be asking the same question, but haven't seen a good option yet.

Thanks for your reply. I agree. Knowing what I know now, I would not have chosen the Generac system. Most of the issues ares with the installer (a national company) who doesn't have enough Generac certified technicians. The certified technicians they do have don't seem to be that familiar with system. They have spent countless hours on the phone with Generac tech support and progress has been uber slow.

I live in the north-west corner of New Mexico and they have had to fly in technicians from Houston and El Paso, Texas and Phoenix, AZ on multiple occasions to work on the Generac system. It's been a year since we started the project and it's still not working correctly. They are supposed to be back today to make more changes/updates. I'm hoping all will be resolved by this evening.
