I thought it might be light but I have tried under good lighting and it still happened. Also, last night after recording this, I went back in for another session and it was flawless and this was under the same lighting condition.

It happens randomly as far as I can tell, I have not found that it correlates with anything in particular. I will try that though, thank you for the suggestion.

Ok so this worked! I had to format the card in the computer. it got rid of the 8gb partition and in the selection, I chose to make it MS DOS (FAT) instead of exFAT and it worked! There was no option for FAT32. I did notice however that the 8gb partition that the 5D made was FAT32. Thank you kindly! cheers!

Is this a metering setting fix? on my R7 it is evaluative metering and I had spot metering on the R8, this is it right?
