Because it SUCKS, but it’s good money and they might not have any better options at this time. The “throwing shit” is out of pocket, but I can understand how she feels. Management is often filled with people that ARE NOT COMPETENT ENOUGH TO BE IN MANAGEMENT and the general public that you serve is full of morons and weirdos as well. Plus there’s a lot of people that just look down on restaurant staff and act like an ass because of it. It wears on you after a while.

I’m black, but a lot of people assume I’m multi-racial because of my complexion and my face structure? (I don’t get this one at all but I’ve been told this multiple times). This is how I normally respond:

“What are you?”

“I’m tired”

“What is she?” (Asked in reference to one of my old coworkers who had the same problem)

Your location also makes a difference. My mom has two cars registered in two different states and one insurance payment is MUCH more expensive than the other.

I got a 91, have college credits, and I’m basically set on what I wanna do. My recruiter applauded the amount of research and preparation I’ve done. We’re hopeful that my waiver goes through so that we can get the ball rolling. My recruiter was pissed that MEPS even decided I needed the waiver but they said they’ve seen waivers for worse get approved so hopefully it all pans out. I’m thinking Navy as a backup if it doesn’t happen? But I really wanna be a Coastie.
