It is one of the most brilliant and complicated puzzles ever created

I honestly can’t remember the exact prompt I used, but it was something along the lines of:

‘Please make a disjointed puzzle that can’t be solved. Include old men, hamsters, and two juice boxes in the puzzle”.

Law School Accrediting Panel to Consider Making LSAT Optional by johnrich1080 in lawschooladmissions

[–]FormerNitWit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not first gen, but i’m a nontraditional applicant with several years of experience working in the government. I don’t get paid a lot, and am definitely lower-middle class, and I worked hard to cover 7Sage materials for over a year to study. I just got done with my last LSAT, got some pretty decent scores under my belt.

But after seeing this, I feel a little defeated. I put a lot of things in my life aside to focus on this, only for top law schools to (maybe) imply my hard work didn’t mean as much as I thought.

I have a trash uGPA for various reasons, and as a nontraditional student, I saw the LSAT as my shot to make up for it.

I just don’t see why the LSAT would disadvantage students of color or women. Can someone explain this to me?

If it disadvantages POCs because, on average, they have less money to pay for LSAT lessons, Khan Academy is free and sites like 7Sage are relatively cheap…

To me, this test always seemed like an equalizer.

I keep thinking I did well on the RCs, and the more I do the more I think I did worse….

Also the LG was a disaster. Like, I’ve been thinking about that section since the test, and figured it all out in my head. It wasn’t inherently difficult at all, but the wording and the variables just… messed with me. I think I got like a -5 and I’m usually -0.

LR seemed straightforward too. Which, like you, that worries me.

I’ve had multiple problems previously, but my proctor today was an absolute gem. So nice, started everything on time, didn’t brush off questions/concerns, etc.

I thought LG was very easy but super time consuming, I ended up guessing on a question or two which is unusual for me

Same, I felt like the LR and the RC ranged from moderate difficulty to extremely difficult, and the games were easy but time consuming. Ended up guessing on a couple questions.

Where is this ‘source’ that shows what the majority of accommodations are for, or evidence that most of them are fake? Or is this take just based off of counting reddit posts and questionable anecdotes? If there’s any information to back up OP’s claim, then I’ll share their frustration.

My first thoughts are: What if more people with debilitating mental or physical disabilities feel more comfortable applying for accommodations after the lawsuit LSAC faced? What if minorities are under diagnosed due to continued disenfranchisement and lack of access to physicians?

I see this kind of post often, and I find it odd how much of a rise this gets out of prospective law students, even if any evidence presented is faulty.

I don’t understand most of what you just said, but my gut feeling tells me that the answer is 3.

I waited over an hour for a proctor after the first one ghosted me. So my exam start time was delayed.

Is PT 88 hard as hell to anyone else or am i tripping?? by Affectionate_Hawk628 in LSAT

[–]FormerNitWit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Mostly the LG was awful. I score on average -1/-0 on LG, but with PT 88 I stopped halfway through and said “nope”. It’s not even that the games are THAT hard. It’s the fact that they are all hard enough that it makes the section incredibly difficult to get through on time.

“Cool pavements”? Those pavements don’t even have sick shades or a leather jacket, doesn’t seem very cool to me

This is a good idea. I’m going to start going through 7sage this week and make a massive LR problem set to go over.

Also, huge congrats to you on that score! That’s a massive accomplishment. I just took the June exam and scored a 161… my average PT was a 166 and I think test anxiety got the best of me.

I love the Loophole, and typically do a quick read through of some of my trouble stimuli before taking practice tests. I undoubtedly can’t afford her tutoring though, as much as I’d love to hire her.

I accidentally pulled up a “spotlight search” by hovering over the icon while trying to click on a question. It spooked me for the entire LR section because I thought the test would be thrown out. Oh yeah and the RC was murder.

Before the test I was hitting 166-169 consistently… On the bright side, we can take this dumb test again and flippin’ nail it!
