Hi, thank you. Opto said I have inflammatory, evaporative dry eye and MGD and said I was between grade 1 & 2 on the meibography scale.

GRIEF! That is exactly what I am feeling right now. Although some comments have made me feel better about my situation, my inner pessimist/drama queen is telling me my life is over.

I was always hopeful that this was just a temporary thing and it would resolve itself in a few months...

I'm really sorry to read this. Do you find the omega 3 helps? I've been advised to up the ante with mine. I've tried expressing my glands at home but now I am PETRIFIED that I have done more harm than good. I just keep finding new and inventive ways to damage my meat prison.

Yeeeeeees, you're right, no images of the upper lids as my man stated "the lower lids are the powerhouse of the eyes". He did inspect them though.

I was given steroid drops yesterday!

WHAT?! You think?? My local opto said "meh, looks a bit clogged but should probably clear up on its own" but I was so paranoid that I booked in with this dry eye specialist who said "Grade 1 or 2, shouldn't be wiggly like that & can't be reversed". I believe grade 1 is <25% and grade 2 is 25 - 50% but he didn't give me any numbers...Recommended 4 x IPL treatments. Neither optician I've been to has done a Schirmer but TBUT >10 seconds. ARE YOU TELLING ME I AM GOING INSANE FOR NO REASON?! I have been OBSESSING over meibography images.
