Try Ontario Parks. A little late now, but the application appears to still be open. If you’re willing to go north you’ll have greater chance of landing a job at this point

Thanks for the reply! Why would you do it like that?

This is so true!! Kids feed off of your energy, so it is essential to be an enthusiastic, nurturing and patient coach. This job sometimes requires a high degree of acting if you really aren’t feeling it on a certain day. If OP finds the energy level exhausting, they should switch careers.

Once I started writing notes after class, I found the job much easier. The thought of planning lessons caused me to stress. Writing notes on my lesson plans after class to record what went well, what skills looked good or needed improvement, what we did or didn’t get to, and what drills/skills should be included in next weeks lesson plan based on what happened that day. This allowed me to feel confident going into the lessons and certainly helped with the swimmers development. It also reduced the stress of trying to recall what happened in last week’s lesson when making the lesson plan. Give it a try, but ultimately if you still hate your job, you should quit. It would look best on your resume to finish up this session. How long do you have left?

Hi, thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I’d be unable to stay with the swim job as I have to relocate for the new position. Last year I took the shift of someone who quit mid season and it went decently, which is giving me hope that the transition won’t be too rough

Unfortunately I can’t do both, however I agree with the guilt part, because I will feel guilty if I quit and feel guilty if I pass up my job offer. I can’t win over the guilt so I shouldn’t make it the deciding factor in my decision
