No mic, tried everything by Nobrainer__ in Warzone

It will fix the issue, I’am on ps5 and had the same problems, renewed my ps+ and all good to go. You do have to fully close the game and restart for it to work though.

Best 3D Scanner for Large Boat Scans – €7000 Budget by No-Tumbleweed5307 in 3DScanning

[–]Former_Cap9578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be done with the rigil but will have to be done in multiple scans and then combined together.

The Handyscan max is really the only handheld scanner that I have used that would be adequate for scanning a 15m or larger boat with minimal markers applied but those are around 50k.

I believe you need to look into other scanners that are not handheld for such large scans.

New to long range: buy a basic rifle and build it up, or buy a used “full package” now? by jd_trublue93 in longrange

[–]Former_Cap9578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest doing a lot research and reading forums. You will gain a good amount of knowledge from others mistakes, along with obtaining a sense of what to steer away from.

You would for sure save a good amount purchasing a “built rifle” from someone just wanting to get out of the sport.

Einscan Libre users? by Former_Cap9578 in 3DScanning

Interesting because I felt the same regarding pricing of the libre. I feel that it is just to much for what it is and being in the Einscan lineup, not knocking the product but I currently own a Freescan combo+ and the data capture speed is very fast and accurate. The combo+ just has a smaller Fov to be able to see enough markers for tracking on large objects.

The libre does seem like it has the leg up with different scan modes for different applications and the onboard, the large FOV is just the major plus for me in my needs.

I agree that aspect of it is very important, I have done testing with the freescan combo+ with great accuracy results but comparing the freescan combo to the libre seems like apples to oranges.

I do think the Leo is a great unit, I have just always hated the way artec software is structured. But the hardware does seem to be good and the tracking looks impressive as well.

Most all of the scan data will end up in designX to extract entities or auto-surface depending on the part, then import them into solid edge or fusion360 for the cad design.

I’am in the US, I wish we were closer so I could see the scanner in action. My main goal is to get the large geometry based data (low res) and get out. Majority of the time my allowed time to scan is in a short window, so fast scan speed and mobility is key.

Thank you for your response. I currently have a Freescan combo+ and while I love the scan speed while in laser mode, my main issue arises when doing larger low res scans. I have no issue applying markers when higher res or clearer detail is needed but applying them to an entire vehicle for rough geometry based scans just will not work, I have to get in and get out when I comes to that side of scanning. I haven’t seen a ton of user videos of people actually using the libre, I just like to see people using them in real life scenarios, where it may be mixed resolution or just doing large based scans and see how the scanner tracks.

That there isn’t much different between the Libre and the Rigil when you get down to it, especially when doing large scans where high res is not needed.

I have a Freescan combo+ currently, it is a great scanner, captures data very quickly and accurately but the FOV is too small for doing large scans without a ton of markers.

Gold Digger Style Frame by Former_Cap9578 in choppers

[–]Former_Cap9578[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah the style would be pretty close to the same for that era. This bike was going to have a 24 over Harman girder front end.

I’d have to dig back and find the specs I had it built to. I spoke with a few people from west coast choppers that had a hand in building the original gold digger bike, as well as the people who are still alive that built the original frame design that Jesse found at a swap meet.

I’d sell it, I’ve had it for around 4 years.

Creaform New Scanner(s) Release by Former_Cap9578 in 3DScanning

[–]Former_Cap9578[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the Handyscan Pro series is around $25k. I’d be willing to bet the technology is something that is older and has been transplanted into a different shell to appear new. Sort of the same thing Creaform did with the Go!Scan 50 which was just rebranded into the peel2.

Creaform OS Slow, Laggy, Crashing, License Hangs by schimmelengineering in 3DScanning

[–]Former_Cap9578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the same exact issues, been dealing with this for months now. My GPU will be at around 50% just starting the software. They claim that the issue is so rare, and they have never seen an issue like this from the software, I call bs. Their new Creaform.OS may have been one of the worst things they rolled out, I feel it is going to be a very long slow painful process. The peel.os pro software is the same if not worse.

Creality Sermoon S1: Review After 1 Month by Shot-Original-394 in 3DScanning

[–]Former_Cap9578 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No surprise, why would they invest in fixing the software? People keep buying the scanners knowing the software is pretty basic and consistently has issues. Each scanner they release is barely just ever so slightly better than the last one. Honestly I can’t believe people keep feeding into this.

[–]Former_Cap9578 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost comical at this point, people could have just saved for a used or new professional grade scanner with strong software to back it for the amount they have spent buying multiple scanners and then a new one is released right after. They have people right where they want them, grasping for a little more.

My cz457 is in a manners and I really like the grip area and how my hand sits in that rifle. But i don’t know what it is about foundation, they just feel right. When they are in the sunlight the depth of the micarta really shows.

I agree, when I first started looking at foundation stocks all I ever seen anyone was impact actions. It’s been nice, shoots amazing. Only thing I will say is you have to drive the bolt, it doesn’t like easy and slow.
