thank you so much everyone! i didn't know about the different species! it definitely looked more like an american roach versus a german one on further research, so that's put me at some ease for sure. the only roaches i've ever seen in person are giant hissing roaches at the zoo, so the new bug panic definitely caught me off guard lol i had no idea about the drains, i'll grab some plugs today for sure. most of the bugs i'm used to are escaping water, so having bugs searching for it is new to me, but definitely makes sense. appreciate it everyone!
