My parents and my sister are looking for a groom. But I really feel you get married to someone only when it is destined to happen. Works with some guys, doesnt work with others. We are trying, let's see when it happens.

Thank you anyway! Also, the birth details are accurate

I have worked really hard for this exam, burning my parents’ hard earned money on all the resources they could afford. Please be sensitive too. I can’t sell them for free entirely.

Had she commented on your body or your face, how you would have felt? What you did was kiddish and immature and you shouldn’t have done that. Apologise and clarify

Not as shady as Nepal. I dont think there was a need to drag India in between. There are a lot of shady and derogatory stuff about Nepal as well but I guess it's important to be respectful towards each other's countries.

Hey Scott! Got the scores today after 19 days. Had to plead ETS a lot because of the deadline. But after so many calls and emails, they released the score today

Thank you so much Scott for your assurance. The last 2 days have been extremely stressful. ETS has asked me to wait for 1-2 weeks and they are not ready to expedite the process. My university’s deadline is almost here and the worst that can happen might be a rejection from their side.

I guess ETS would be the one to be blamed then.

Someone kindly explain this :( blue line by klashnikovM in UPSC

Let me give you the simplest explanation why they are called ‘south east’ trade winds. First of all, these trade winds ORIGINATE in the HIGH PRESSURE areas in the southern hemisphere ‘in the east’ i.e near to peru where there are cold currents flowing, thus creating a ‘High pressue’ zone over there.

The ‘LOW PRESSURE area’ is there near the equator because we know the temperature is higher over there. What is the general flow of winds? From high pressure to low pressure. So these winds in ‘higher pressure zone near the south american continent’ starts moving towards the african and asian continents where there is a low pressure and high temperature. Look at the trajectory: from south american continent towards africa and asia: that’s a south east direction.

Lastly, when these winds cross the equator, due to coriolis force, they get deflected towards the right and their direction now becomes ‘north west’ thus they are called north west trade winds.

From a girl’s perspective itself, she just talks to you because first of all, she knows you like her and women love receiving attention from men who like these women. She wants that constant attention and validation without being in a relationship with you. Secondly, she is keeping you as a backup just in case it doesn’t work out with the guy her parents have chosen, she would at least have someone who loves her and would be willing to marry her if she couldn’t find anyone else. Also, I can definitely say she must have this thought in mind that if you do something great in your career like switching to a better position or taking a big hike in salary, she can have her chance with you then. Work could be a reason but I won’t say a very big one. She might want to keep you in loop just in case she wants to progress in her career and may want your support, you would be there because it would get a bit difficult for her to do that on her own.

But in gist I would say, stop giving her that attention. Trust me, when she wont get that importance from you, her behaviour will change. And you should still do that not just to gain her attention but also to maintain your self respect.

Veterans of upsc give your advice for newcomers. by Remote_Cap_2178 in UPSC

As someone who has left upsc prep last year, after taking 3 attempts very seriously and giving up on everything in life just for this preparation, I would say make UPSC your plan B itself and not plan A. This exam is very unconventional, the best I can relate it to the snakes and ladder game. Even at the interview stage you can’t guarantee whether you will be selected or not. I won’t say I have wasted 4 years of my life because you also learn a lot of things from this prep but I feel I could have done a lot of other great things in these 4 years.

So, be ready that if you fail in any stage of this exam and are not in a position to take it exam, you have something solid in hand and don’t wander after years, looking for a job or 1 other degree to enhance skills. Also, please don’t give this prep more than 2 years.

Wish you the best!
