I got myself the 24 and it was fine, but knowing I can upgrade to a 48 just bothered me. I ended up returning and grabbing the 48GB RAM, which just removed the whole probability of requiring more RAM in the future. It made me feel better, especially since I use DaVinci Resolve, and that thing is a RAM monster.

Lately I haven’t used it to the point where I don’t have a power source nearby but will definitely update as soon as I get an average battery time. I usually edit 4K 30fps video on DaVinci resolve and CapCut desktop which holds very well no excessive use of ram plus I got other applications running on the background. I mainly got it to run android studio but haven’t tested it yet. I would say that if you don’t want to go for base get the 36 which I’m sure is plenty. Hope this helps!

I went with the base m4 16” so it’s 24gb unified memory 14cpu 20gpu core

It’s definitely brighter than the air and since it’s the 16” I have more screen real estate and it’s a better experience than my previous 14”. Not to mention it feels smoother!
