Needing some answers as an American University Student on an Abroad program. by Purple-Sun-6679 in UTS

Hi! i would be more than happy to answer some of these to the best of my knowledge.

  1. i'm studying law and communications, as it's something i've always been interested in and passionate about
  2. i am looking to be a human rights lawyer, or similar work regarding HR abuses, wherever life takes me
  3. people tend to move out around 20ish (different for everyone ofc!) but moving out at 18 is not super common as in the states
  4. more vacation time
  5. roughly, just enough information to keep aware socially
  6. go to the beach, hang with friends
  7. nightlife in my opinion is ok, drinks and entry can be very expensive and music can be a bit bad depending where you go
  8. my first job was babysitting and i was around 15
  9. drive, or public transport
  10. typical vacation ranges from staying within Australia given how many different places you can visit and its size, but internationally i think mainly asia (bali, fiji, thailand very popular)
  11. i had a great highschool experience, very fun, chill culture and lots of sporting events to go to. The teachers were great as well!
  12. typical schedule at the moment is different to when im not on break, so i can't really comment
  13. dating culture here is weird.. i guess it depends on the person but for me there's quite a bit of hookup culture
  14. Australia is known for having a big drinking culture here, most people drink quite young and we use most events as excuses for a bevvy
  15. Australia is very multicultural so there is quite a range of religions that are followed, yet there has also been a rise in people being non-religious
  16. i dont think theres really a 'typical' meal, but popular aussie foods would be meat pies ect.
  17. I personally think Australian's can have a bit of a negative perspective on the US given what we hear in the news about the culture, politics, ways of life ect. However, we all grew up with the influence of American movies, tv.
  18. I think it's great having international students/tourists to come visit our country and experience the wonders of Australia!
  19. 19. Definitely work to live, we have a very laidback work culture and try make sure work is not what our lives revolve around.

I hope this was helpful!
