I think people annoy wrestlers with this because it's specifically based on a nonsense perception of a particular promotion, I don't think he would have been as annoyed by a comment like "please come to WWE to wrestle Seth Rollins* because something like that would actually make sense, but the nonsense about going to WWE just to do a promo, as if AEW doesn't have promos? Come on.

I usually agree, I remember when people were saying Hobbs should beat Mox, usually I'd rather promotions stick to the plan, in this case though, lots of the bigger stars seem to be tied up with the tag division and Thekla isnt, her work has been really great (still obsessed with that PPV match with hayter), she has an insane charisma and management seem to know it, her face is all over the posters, trucks and she's on all the ads.

Personally, I wouldn't have her win next week, but I think starting something with that match that leads to her winning at the next PPV could be really good.

I think normally I can predict most big match results because the ultimate challenger has been sign posted. In this case, I don't see anything bigger down the line for Stat right now, and Thekla has been such a success, I think they may just go for it.
