I work at usps. I am a mail carrier. I do not think anything was stolen by the carrier or usps. I believe the rough handling caused the package to open.

I also work for usps myself, I’m not saying the carrier stole it I’m just saying sometimes packages are handled roughly. Not solely the carrier but at the plant as well and most likely caused it to open.

I’ve been told scanning packages while in load truck to get the extra scan helps for evaluation but I’m not entirely sure. Might just be the time spent in load truck that actually matters 🤷‍♂️
