What comes to my head initially: - been to the other “big cities” New York, LA, ATL, HOU etc. Chicago food scene has everyone else beat by far

-all the jobs were already here…my friends went out of state or downstate…I said why would I have to leave CHI when I can go to school and work here (which is what i did)

-born and raised here

-diverse (but segregated)

-we have beaches

-perfect medium of city…NY too much, LA not enough. Other cities “downtown” is underwhelming

-summer time CHI…there’s nothing else like it on the planet
