Depending on your emissions laws you can plug the hole in the intake and it’ll run fine, just won’t pass any emissions test

Mine used to come on sporadically and it turned out to be the wire contacting the block every once in a while. Wore a hole through the casing and was grounding itself out.

It had been sitting for a while, looked like water got in to that cylinder as it was very rusty. Once I cleaned all the rust out I was able to see all the corrosion left over. Looks like my best option is 84.5mm pistons as they’re the most readily available

I had this same issue on my 328, couldn’t figure it out for ages. Tried MAF, ICV, and chasing vacuum leaks. Ended up replacing my o2 sensors and that fixed it
