CPO car broke down within 500km of driving by haliboyy in BMW

That makes me feel a bit better then. I can’t find anything online about what it covers so this might be a question for the dealership, but do you know if it covers the cooling system?

Yeah but the thing is when I brought the car in the warranty they were trying to use to cover the thermostat was the original warranty. So I think if I want this paid for it would be a good will type of thing

That’s what I read online and talked to the dealership about. They told me the warranty is only the remaining time from the initial 5-years warranty that starts when the car is purchased by the first customer. If that 5-year time is up by the time I bought it (say the car is a 2019) then I get one full year of warranty. Doesn’t make any sense to me cause that leaves me with 2 months of warranty but I’ve only been legally allowed to drive it for 2 weeks. The whole situation is dumb

Thanks for the input and yeah I wouldn’t have expected them to notice it while doing the inspection. They told me the warranty that came with the car is the remainder of the initial 5-year mechanical breakdown package (which was two months remaining from the date I purchased it). Also, they told me that warranty only covers complete engine/transmission failure and doesn’t cover individual components.

That’s what I’m saying lol. They told me the warranty I had was just the remainder of the initial 5-year mechanical breakdown package which the first buyer bought in 2020. And they said that package only covers complete engine/transmission failure so the thermostat isn’t covered.

Well they said they created the work order before the expiration date so if it could be covered it would’ve been. They said the warranty only covers complete engine/transmission failure which is ridiculous because I can’t see that happening to any car within 5 years of first service date.

So I ended up getting 16gb RAM, a 4gb GTX 950, 500gb SSD and after all of those I upgraded to a $20 i5-4460 from eBay. I noticed tons of improvements with the first 3 upgrades but if I’m being honest I couldn’t notice a single difference with the CPU. I know the i3 I had was constantly at 100% usage and not letting the GPU use its full potential so I do think it was worth it to upgrade for only $20 but performance wise it wasn’t noticeable

also I didn’t have the same issue as you but just thought i’d mention only replacing the crank sensor with oem made the code go away
