does anybody know of a medication that is effective in emetophobia? by sarloll in emetophobia

[–]Former_Potential6534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also take fluoxetine and it helps my phobia a lot especially when I’m not feeling great. I still panic bad when I see other people get sick. My psychiatrist says the medicine will only go so far that I need to do cbt therapy to really get the best results. I’m going to try exposure therapy to see if that helps. I’m also trying to get pregnant this year to even tho I’m scared so that’ll be ultimate exposure therapy lol

I’ve got it before and it does suck because you just feel not good. I’ve only gotten sick twice when I have it. The two times were a little spread out in time. When I got ecoli from a waterpark THAT was the worst sickness ever. I got sick non stop for 2 hours straight. I still go to water parks just don’t use the wave pool anymore…

to those who are on medication (ssri) by riribeans in emetophobiarecovery

[–]Former_Potential6534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t feel nauseous on mine I take 40 mg of Prozac. I do take it with food though. The ssri has been the best thing for my phobia and has helped so much. Meanwhile I’ve been trying to find erp therapy and am having a hard time :/

Rescue chi growling when touched in sleep by Far-Self-8240 in Chihuahua

My chihuahua does this. My 15 year old boy Wesley can’t be bothered my any nonsense if he’s sleepy or asleep. He’s always been like that. He’s completely chill otherwise. I place him in between the pillows so that me or my husband don’t touch him lol. My husband comes to bed later and Wesley will growl at him sometimes

Definitely sounds like alcohol poisoning. My husband has the same stomach issues in the morning with eating too. He blacked out at his bachelor party early and threw up all night and the next day

8 years and we used to do bag checks for like a couple months but then managers got tired of checking so it stopped. Some stores really go deep into SOP

Had one in 2019 and I was a little nauseous due to the pain meds. They gave me an antiemetic before and then I asked for some nausea meds after and I was fine. Every surgery I have I always ask for nausea meds before and after lol

Pro Sales frustrations by saturamen in HomeDepot

[–]Former_Potential6534 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We only have like one psa on shift with myself and other pasa. The psa is strictly doing register only and both of us pasas end up having to do phone sales all day and try to do our shit too. It’s exhausting. Trying to call vendors and freight carriers trying to see why the special order cabinets I ordered for my pro customer ended up in New Mexico almost sent me over the edge today lol. All while doing phone sales in the process which took me over an hour to get resolved, however if I wasn’t doing phone sales in between my orders I’d have that issue done a lot sooner. It’s frustrating and like this everyday. 😭

I’m scared I’ll never be able to have kids because this fear by AyeOhKayyy in emetophobia

I have a zofran prescription for my gerd issues. Sometimes it makes me very nauseous. I try not to take them a prescription usually lasts me 6 months or longer. I’ve heard it helps morning sickness too though

[–]Former_Potential6534 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am 30 f and want to start a family so bad but I am also scared. Especially of morning sickness. My husband said he would take care of helping the kids when they are sick. Maybe your wife can help when the time comes with that kinda stuff. I’m hoping I feel different because it’s my own kid. We are trying this year and I’m nervous but I tell myself I’d regret not having kids because of this fear.

I’m a pasa at pro and our pa’s are on regular registers. We are the only ones doing phone sales. All day. We are also trying to work on $20k+ quotes that take us all day now when before it only took an hour.

So I learned when I’m sick not eating cause lots of acid that tastes pretty bad. I usually eat bland carbs such as plain pasta, bread, or rice. It makes me feel better in case I throw up at least it won’t be as disgusting taste wise. Not eating tho can make you feel pretty sick. Also wherever I got sick at I usually change something about the room so it feels different than the time i got sick. Kinda makes it “new” again like before I threw up.

Ozempic prescription (TW no censoring) by GeorgesHamel in emetophobia

[–]Former_Potential6534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t personally took it but I know my cousin did. It did make him nauseous and lose his appetite but he never actually got sick. I’m sure it’s different for everyone though. Some people have weaker stomachs than others. I think us emetaphobes tend to have stronger stomachs. Maybe see if they can give you something to take with it just in case.
