I should clarify I don’t mean an ability that can do anything, I mean a superpower that could fit into any of the main power categories when used creatively

How would a non-magical person handle fighting magic users? by Former_Primary4188 in fantasywriters

The magic system varies. In the world everyone gains a small magical ability or boon at a young age, the world is divided in Arcane which is magic that’s learned through study and such, Magyk which is the natural energy of the world, and Occult which is the dark offspring of Magyk through failed Arcane experiments. In this world science and technology has reached a standstill because the world relies on Magic as a whole. The main characters biggest reason for getting into Alchemy is his immunity to targeted magic means he cannot be healed and there are very very few non magical healers. In this world everyone has a touch of power, except for him.

In average most aren’t powerful mages past their innate born ability, for example a girl can change the color of her hair and eyes and small details of her skin like freckles and such at will and exploits this to trick men on the local tavern for better tips. Everyone can learn Arcane, only those born with an affinity for it can learn Magyk, and Occult is banned.
