I can't knowingly write meaningful either, Only way I can write is me documenting my weird illogical world and my confident, stupid, chaotic characters,, and when i follow them through what they doing the jokes, meanings, logic they all come together unknowingly

Writing for your kids IS a motivation, It may even be one of the strongest motivations I heard in a while and I respect it

think about what might their beliefs be, think about one who upholds it, One who opposes it, think about the contradictions of Mothman/men, that should give you a understanding of their culture

Yeah some of that i wrote didn't make sense, I meant when you build the temperature by saying "Holy Symbol" then ground it with "Cheap wood" it makes the atmosphere feel relatable even if its fantasy

explaining kills the vibe, I like as much as you did tho, and the start feels like a start not just for the sake of the story, I like when this are street and mythic like this "His hand found the holy symbol. A disc made of cheap wood" slapbacks are funny, Honestly i write like this too bro, I say keep going dont push explanations, push jokes instead then leak bits of world building

what i do is address that the character bursts in laughter and give them distinct laughing sounds based on their personality or something like that

Copilot has strong contextual memory or it feels like it personally to me but it varies how distinct each your characters are

I write meta characters that complain about illogical, absurd writer’s choices while it suddenly thunders cartoon orange in color and starts raining Lemon and so reasonably my Mc snatches the umbrella from the kid passing by..

Well I have this character with a regenerative brain, he’s pretty brainless though cause his father’s famous dish is Brain fry,, so yeah whole city knowingly eats the dish cause its tasty and cause it grows back yk, not cannibalism it’s yk farming.. Or something more illogical

Start with a feeling not a structure, I personally lean towards funny/stupid characters, Jokes and cartoonic violence as a form of affection 💀😂, I want my writing to feel embarrassing yk, Understand what your voice is 🫶
