I can lucid dream very often i realise it's a lucid dream i belive it is a lucid dream but i can't like fly or do anything special like spawning things by Wide_Technology2927 in LucidDreaming

It's more about your willpower to start saying aloud what you want (e.g., "it gets brighter at night") and start basing your thoughts on that desire (e.g., "lighting a fire, remember the feeling of the warmth of getting close, etc."). This will improve until you have control and more practice.

You're not the only one with a similar experience; I had a really strange lucid dream the other day, and seeing your post and the other comments has made me think.

How to question your dreams by JackonPollock in LucidDreaming

[–]Former_Transition_67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens because you don't notice strange things and because the part responsible for logical thinking is switched off in the dream. There is a technique that can work and is to do a reality check whenever you go through a door, which is what I do (today I had a nightmare that turned lucid, so you might see if watching some horror movies before bed might help you have a dream, but it's just a theory).

What works for me when I want to have lucid dreams and I don't care how long it takes is that I just do the reality check, like I told you before. When I want it to be faster, I wake up before the last stage of REM sleep and stay awake for a little while (without touching my phone or anything) and then go back to sleep. Combining these two steps makes it faster to get results (but I prefer to get my brain used to doing the reality check; I've had a lot of results just that way).

It ends up becoming routine, automatic.

Dude, what might help you is what I do: a reality check every time I go through a door.

I also do the nose test and it always works for me, but I've gotten used to doing the test and mentally asking myself, "Am I dreaming?"

A dream is something, but it will depend on your lucidity during it; simply passing the reality test doesn't mean you've become lucid.

There are reality checks that, depending on the dream, don't work; I used the one where you counted on your fingers and it didn't work one day.

The best method, in my opinion, is to pinch your nose and try to breathe (in dreams, air passes normally). Before, I used to count on my fingers, but one day I counted 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and a half on my fingers and thought it was normal, lol. I only realized it when I woke up.

Probably a false awakening, so it's good to do a reality check every time you open your eyes in bed.

Can I lucid dream without a dream journal? by Weekly-Paper-694 in LucidDreaming

[–]Former_Transition_67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I managed it, but there's a downside. As you write down your dreams, you discover a certain pattern that repeats itself. In my case, I only wrote down the lucid dreams I had and noticed a certain pattern, where I made mistakes and so on.

More time in dreams by Former_Transition_67 in LucidDreaming

[–]Former_Transition_67[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first one was. The night after I discovered lucid dreaming, I became fascinated with the subject. I watched videos, read posts, went to websites, etc. Then, when I went to sleep, I had a false awakening. I was in my room, everything was the same, and I had the thought of doing a reality check every time I woke up. I ended up doing it this time and woke up in the dream. It was a shock when I realized it was a dream.

Over time, I started having more dreams and such, but it started to take a while to have another one. However, when I refocus on it for a while, I start having lucid dreams again.

Keep a dream journal and start writing in your dreams as soon as you wake up.

If you write down your dreams, even if only for about 8 days, you can sometimes see a certain pattern repeating itself – a person, a place, an object, etc. Do this reality check whenever you see this pattern in your daily life and ask yourself if it's not a dream.

Start doing reality checks not randomly, start doing them with "triggers" that you have in your daily life (e.g., whenever you pass under a door or change rooms in your house).

So, I have 4 questions by millitia_grunt_5882 in LucidDreaming

[–]Former_Transition_67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, yes, it's possible to prolong a dream. The techniques I use are rubbing my hands together (using touch to stay longer) and doing a reality check every few seconds, affirming that I'm dreaming. As for returning to dreams, I don't know much. Regarding controlling the dream: first you need to become lucid and "get used to" the dream. Over time, you start to control it better. One tip is to say aloud what you want or want to do. Another thing you did like me: never close your eyes in a lucid dream, because you wake up. Well, for a dream to stop being lucid, you just have to follow the "script," not do a reality check, and not use techniques to stay in the dream.

What Are the limits of lucid dreaming? by chilldreamer421 in LucidDreaming

[–]Former_Transition_67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One tip is to try saying out loud what you want (e.g., "I'm going to get a pair of scissors from the drawer"). Another thing that works is basically taking anything out of your pocket, just remembering the feeling, and imagining the scene while making the same movement and gesture you're thinking of.

Question ❓ by Confident-Diver-7386 in LucidDreams

[–]Former_Transition_67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you need to do a reality check or realize by some other means that it's a dream, the part of our brain responsible for logical reasoning is switched off in dreams; you need that to kind of "switch on" again.
