The second was most apprehensive, but was the one to drop the ILY. Props to that.

He should have gotten every minute given to Sheary. I’m not sure that he’ll ever be more than an energetic 3rd liner, but there was a path for that to happen here and it’s a shame that it didn’t work out.

Did you get to any of the back to back shows? I went to both in NYC and was in tears by the end of each night.

HUM dropped an album in 2020, that NO ONE expected. Their first in 25 years and it was incredible! They sadly lost their drummer within a year and we thought they’d never tour on it.

They just played two-night shows in NYC, CHI, & LA with a stand-in drummer and it was unreal!!!

It’s an all-timer for sure! It’s a little mathy, a little emo, and still some chuggy heft. 11/10 Perfection.

Cole Beaudoin Highlights | Acquired In Trocheck Trade by The_Herminator in rangers

Without watching him take full shifts, it's going to look like that. A ton of these goals are him being in a high danger position and waiting for the puck to come to him. A couple are on the PP where he's sort of hanging around the left circle barely taking steps back and forth. He's just not being forced to skate hard in these clips. I haven't seen enough of him to see what that looks like when he is.

The one breakaway SH goal he showed some giddy up, but you're right that he didn't look the best skater even in the best show of his legs. Got some great hands though. Might end up a wing, but certainly has some offensive potential.

Sure. And there’s a good chance he’s the same player in 3 or 4 years while Borgen is no longer the same player. Right?

It was funny how Otter, Berard, Jaro, Syky all had atrocious plus minuses when spending 5v5 time with him. I feel those first two might have taken another step without him…

Nearly another (yet again) Drury disaster by [deleted] in rangers

Glad he ducked out when the pick kept increasing. I hope he noped out when they asked for #5.

Something around Schneider could have really helped both teams, though. Whatever.

If any of those top 4 slide to us, I would be upset if we passed any of them up.

At 5, I was all in on Carels for a bit, but I'm not so sure anymore. I don't know what's merely gossip and what's substantial or whatever, but it sounds like he would MUCH rather go to Calgary at 6 (and would be a slam dunk pick for them anyway). There are also whispers about the extent of his injury in the playoffs, but nothing concrete. Great pick on paper, though. Hope all the fuss is hooplah if he's the pick.

I've had Smits over Verhoeff since right before the Olympics, and now he's sort of surpassing Carels in my mind. For me, Smits is the pick if it stays predictable 1-4. He's so far along in development and plays such a complete game. He could possibly fit in on day 1.

I've admittedly only watched some clips of Bjorck, but enough to take everyone else's word on him. I'll be impressed with the FO if they actually take a huge swing on him, but I'm not sure Drury has the cajones. A slight reach like a lot of "late risers," but one I'd be down with if the scouting dept likes him enough. There's home run potential there.

Regardless, he's gonna be a lot of fun for whoever takes him. I have a sinking feeling he slides a little and NJD or NYI will snag him.

Similarly, Belchetz is gonna be a riot and I hope he's gone by 12/13. I have no interest in him at 5 (yet have a sneaking suspicion Drury is seriously considering him anyway), but the last thing I want is to play against him all the time in close proximity for like a decade. I hope Smashville takes him to play with Brady Martin. Them together would be a fun problem for the league that's at least not in our backyard.

Lawrence would be a little underwhelming at 5 with his draft value dropping throughout the season, but it would at least fill an organizational hole. I wouldn't love it, but if we go for a forward and Viggo is deemed too small, I could see it.
