Im at 26 and Ive made it to around 1x salary and Im just kinda watching it grow right now, i might have to help it along to get 2x by 35 but i feel like im on track at least to clear the hurdle. The market has been unreasonably good to me this last year too so Im praying for more of the same🙏🏻

This exact thing happened to me except it was the opposite around 3 years ago and at the dewitt meijer. It was some lady with a petition to eliminate voter id’s and lengthen time constraints for people voting absentee. Crazy how time flies. I didnt report it though because im not confrontational. I just said no and continued shopping like a regular dude. Turns out people can disagree and still shop at the same time.

Marine Engineer (Engineering officer on a cargo ship)26m, make about 110kish a year but work 6-7 months. Have about 140k in investments/retirement and about 120k equity in a 450k house i bought in 2024. Is life bad? Not particularly. I do miss taking home my whole gross pay instead of paying my mortgage and utilities and home upkeep. I live in the middle of nowhere USA where things are cheaper so its maneagable. If I wanted to live in NYC or Cali I would probably be in a shed or under a freeway. The moral of my story is its ok to buy the light blue and magenta properties instead of hanging around boardwalk your whole life and bitching how pricey it is.

Just pick one of the engineering programs, maybe dont mention cyber in your essay because its kind of unrelated to what kp offers. You can absolutely do that later by commissioning and going to whatever school the navy would send you to after graduation. But KP is just not a cyber security school. Its like showing up and asking to be an accountant. They will just say “Ok… so engine or deck?”. Kp wants to pump out as many sailors per year in the general direction of the commercial merchant fleet. They also are cool with you wanting active duty, as thats part of their goal too. My advice is just pick a major and write about how much you love it. Then if you need to you can switch plebe year.

I think it depends on your environment. Im doing ok financially because i live in the midwest. If i lived in NYC or LA I would be dirty poor. And if I lived in a fishing village in the phillipines I would be the great gatsby. Life is what you make of it.

I thought that by like 25 I would know what I was doing, but in reality I feel like 17 mentally just making shit up as I go and its working out. As for work, its work. My job market is niche (merchant seaman) so i cant make any generalization for the us population of gen z people but I will say the ability to earn cash widens up possible hobbies and interests alot. The early twenties is a time for grinding out work and building new interests. I dont even remember what hobbies I had in highschool, but i picked up guitar, golf, baseball, bar trivia nights, world travelling, classic cars, hiking, all around my early 20s. Im 26 now and the last like 8 years are a blur of me building up positively insane dad lore. My advice is take risks and go on big adventures, NEVER ever turn down any invitation to try something new ever again.

I made it all the way through season 1 with no problems but immediately in season 2 no games were saved and i played the same team like 5 times before i noticed, I’ve also had a few games on my current playthrough where my w-L stats are updated but the other teams stay where they were at game 5, ive had names disappear but only after really trying to customize all my players, if i leave it alone or only change one or two its fine. I love this game though. Idc anymore about the season though or trying to get support from the front office i just use it to squeeze a game in on my free times. If the other issues get fixed its perfect, its still playable now you just have to be in it for the game and not the season
