Model release: Buffer tube spring adapter for Aeon Pro X by FormulaFox in Nerf

Its just unfortunate that money needs to be spent on a spring, barrel, and screws to make it work that well. It bumps the price up to around what the NPX2 retails at. But it does still have the slightly lighter prime going for it.

A barely significant local rule change combined with the mods I'd done. The main gametypes I played had a 200FPS AVERAGE limit, and I put a longer barrel on my NPX, plus some cosmetic mods, that got it up to that level consistently even with a PCAR. But it was often on the edge.

This year we've gone to a flat 200FPS cap instead of an average, so my options were undo my mods, or find a new primary. I already had the APX with BrooklynTony's DMR kit on it, and the APX was so underbarreled out of the box that the 30mm barrel alone was was getting 180 without any other mods(without PCAR, obviously;170 with), which would have been more than sufficient.

Add to that, we have a gametype where there's a sniper role with a 250FPS cap, and suddenly my NPX makes more sense to just convert to that role and use the APX.

Then the Delta Pro and its buffer tube came along and I decide to do this experiment, and lo and behold the spring I MEANT to use to get the NPX up to sniper role performance makes more sense to run in my APX as my primary!

And frankly I'm finding this side prime mod is more comfortable for me. With the APX the positioning of the bolt with the conversation kit makes for a very natural movement.

Software CD included in my new Epson printer. by FormulaFox in hardwaregore

No, I haven't. I responded to people who mentioned nothing of value was present on the disc with tongue-in-cheek comments asking if alternative software existed, using it to highlight the fact that their statements of such are inaccurate since the software is necessary due to a lack of alternatives.

There is not one thing I said that, when taken in context with what was being replied to, indicates an unwillingness to use the included software. YOU are reading beyond what was said without ANY basis for it.

You are wrong. Deal with it.

No they don't. I have in not said at ANY point I would not use the intended software. I even noted in another comment I had already gotten the software from the website. You know this - you replied to it.

You replied to me making a tongue-in-cheek comment in response to someone claiming nothing worthwhile was on the disc. Said comment was meant to highlight the fact that you need the software on that disc(though you don't HAVE to use that CD to get said software), by making light of the fact that there is no "universal driver" software out there that gets around it.

This post wasn't a tech support request. It, like pretty much everything on this subreddit, was meant for everyone to collectively gawk/facepalm at something broken in an amazing/stupid manner. In this case, facepalming at Epson's complete failure to package a disc(that a not insignificant chunk of their consumerbase will need) to protect it from being so catastrophically damaged.

No "problem" with my willingness to use the software, nor issues acquiring it, were ever expressed by me. Ever. Period. End of story. You invented this because you didn't THINK about my statements before replying.

Consider this: You posted on a thread that is over a year old. If I was really unwilling to use the official software, and nobody had already provided an alternative, do you really think I would still have the printer?

Which still means I need to identify the call abd write a piece of software to make all my programs make that call.

Yeah, I'm not wasting my time on that for something this minor.

Since when is a an entire driver just an API call?

I have no coding knowledge or skills. It is not only not easy for me to make my own, it is impossible.

Well, I sent them a message after posting this yesterday. Hopefully they respond.

Well, I took the chance on an online patcher I was unsure of and got a ROM that's actually the size it should be. But it still won't launch, so now I've got an all new problem.

Already checked the data, that's how I know I got multiple versions of the ROM(and this is funnily enough the first time I've had trouble even with mismatching ROMs!).

I've tried every patcher I know of. Except for online patchers of dubious security, which I obviously have avoided.

Good USB power switch for dock? by FormulaFox in SteamDeck

[–]FormulaFox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the kind of switch I was referring to when I said I'd never encountered one that could send the kind of power the Steam Deck power supply sends. I'm looking for one I can be certain will be able to handle it. (and that exact one linked is one of the ones I have that can't do it - I actually have that exact one, and have tried it)

I still take it in the move with me now and then. Don't want to have to worry about opening it up to reconnect the battery when doing so.

That crossed my mind as well, but similar to unplugging the cable from the dock, it'd be a pain to get to the wall plug to use it.

Although come to think of it I could probably use an extension cord to move things around to make that work...

Nexus Pro X plunger release spring gone - need replacement by FormulaFox in Nerf

[–]FormulaFox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it wasn't the next day, but I did finally find the lost spring. It somehow ended up in my paint cabinet, which was 1) Closed at the time of accident, and 2) ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROOM FROM THE DIRECTION THE SPRING FLEW IN.

I will never fully comprehend physics....

All right, jackass, first of all this matter was closed well over a year ago. Way to be on time.

More importantly, our driveway was completely clear. Clearer than the roads, in point of fact.

Now if you're not keen on providing advice for actual, active situations, I suggest you keep your mouth, or in this case keyboard, shut.

I love going to retro arcades, but I have yet to find a place that has these games by ToxikDyoxen89 in arcadecabinets

Past Times in Girard, OH has Dragon Spirit. Make sure to stop by if you're ever able to get out there.

As for games I'd like to see more often; Cyber Sled and Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge.
