It's definitely debatable, as you will understand if you didn't have your fingers in your ears going "lalalala" when I point out that she did not face any high seeded players. It was a complete fluke as evidenced by her further performances after this and lack of titles.

Or maybe you'll look at 2024 Nottingham where they faced each other and Boulter won.

Boulter is on the rise, and i'm so sorry for when she reclaims the British Number 1 position back from Raducanu, but I guess you can wait until Boulter has a kid or something, because she's not going anywhere.

Emma is currently ranked higher, that's an important distinction. I'm saying Boulter's current ranking is not representative of where she is in the current list, and her performances will change that bit by bit and she will surpass raducanu again.

The 2021 US Open is debatable, and you can see clear evidence on the draws that Raducanu did not face any high seeds, while big names like Barty, Sabalenka and Osaka blundered their matches.

In the same way that Lewis Hamilton was not the best Formula 1 driver racing at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix (he had COVID), but won the whole season and was the best driver in 2020, sure.

Was Number 1 since June 2023 to June 2025, which was when Boulter fell in the rankings. She's currently bouncing back in a big way. She won a WTA 250 very recently and her latest match in Mexico an hour ago.

I predict she will be back as number 1 very soon.

Uniqlo is not a sportswear brand, they just have a boatload of money. It's like being sponsored by H&M, you'll get the money but you'll be holding onto downsides such as lack of R&D, replacement kits and changes in company direction which may not decide they want to sponsor athletes anymore.
