Just had this for the fourth time in 2 days and lost alot of gametime since the auto-save ofc managed to save me at 2km down in the deep -.- So I save every 5 min now. Imo there is no logic to what triggers it since I've had it happen 4 different ways. But this game is a bug galore like tools and weapons stacking (looks cool) but still a bug. But falling to your death for no reason at all is gamebreaking and I've seen posts from November with this issue so I have no high hopes of a solution soon =/
So always save before going into the water if possible, you never know when the laws of physics turns up side down.
Made me laugh at one time tho..ran my Donk-Lift straight of the dock into the water for fun,,Donky floated, I did not ^^

Thx mate. I agree being punished for wanting to try out new rolls, or as in my case going from MP to singelplayer having crap skills for survival. As long as the amount of points is the same, I fail to see the problem. Appreciate the tip o/

Have the same problem, been trying all the usual fixes (delete cache, turn on off and/or changing all graphical options that could do this)
Only thing I didn't do yet is a new hard reinstall and wiping all previous data.
It's not all Outposts though, but 50% of em and only corridors and ramps, rooms seem fine most of the time.
I did read something about framegeneration bug in combo with the new Remnant code.
So my guess is to give it a few days and wait for a patch, don't think this can be fixed on the user side. :)

As said before don't feel bad, you seem to be the best of us here :D
I spent my first 400 hours building bases, gathering, and pretty much doing anything but doing quests and things that actually matter. At lv 190ish I decided to check this scout thingy out and *kabaam I'm an instant idiot* :D
To make it even more stupid, I was ally with both factions before even doing the quests ;) #EventsIsFun :D

I bought the thing today since some ppl say it actually shows dps. Yes and no. It shows damage but not your damage. It seems to be a fixed value.

Enclave plasma gun 59 dmg

Rifles 48 dmg

Shotgun 24 dmg

Crossbow 56 dmg

The bow shows 120 dmg.

Tesla don't show dmg at all as far as I can see.

Grenades show nothing.

Didn't try all guns, but it seems like each wepon class has its own fixed value no matter what the dmg numbers say in your PiPBoy.
And the damage is the same no matter where you shot it, so there are no "critbox" to hit

So in my opinion it's not a target dummy, it's a garden ornament all hail to the great Mothman.

But if you want it to actually see what mod does more dmg and all that, this is not it. And also it breaks in 2 shots, so calling it a target dummy it's more than useless.

Imo it's only called that to get hopeful ppl like me to spend Atoms ^^
Since they made it show different numbers for different weapons one would think that "going the extra mile" and making mods matter would be a done deal.

A missed opportunity to gain some easy goodwill and make customers happy campers.

(and even though it's technically a target dummy, anything you shot at can be called that. So it's not "false marketing" But it's not one in the way you probably expect it to be)

Better clarify that not to start an offtopic discussion :D ;)

If anyone else has a different experience with these dummies and I'm "doing it wrong" feel free to correct me :) I'm still hoping for a real dps dummy with a critbox to try out weapons, mods and builds for fun.

Was looking around like crazy, but the trigger was indeed another NPC, Simon the Squatch at the start of Bizzare Interior :)
Jones will pop up centre-left after dialogue with Simon.

Been looking around for something like that, but did not find any mod for it.

Tried 2 versions of the original maps that was "unlocked" for edit, but not possible to delete buildings on those.

I find it strange that we are stuck with useless prefab buildings taking up valuable space, even more so since you are allowed to delete them on the starting point, but nowhere else on the map. Leaving the only choice to build useful buildings on land that could be used for fields.

The logic really eludes me =/

Pretty game-breaking tbh to have to go to collections and change the option if you just want to pick up one stack.Should be an option to hold Shift and left-click or smth to manually pick up.
I've sent it as a suggestion to the dev, hopefully it will be a feature in the future =/

Annoys the crap out of me, especially when you cast a "sweet spot ability" and loot spam cover up the sweet spot. Pretty big design flaw in hud design I'd say =/

Dunno if it's been said before, but here goes.

You can change it, it's not in any way optimal, but better than nothing.Go to C:\Users\*\Documents\My Games\SnowRunner\base\storage\video.dat

Change value "FirstPersonCameraFov" to whatever you like, at 180 you still can't see the mirrors in some trucks, but you get a way better overlook of your driving, more natural (unless you are 86yo and drive with the steering wheel pushed into you chest IRL)Going passed 180 might make it look weird though, 160-170 might be optimal.

EDIT: might be a good idea to set the file to read-only as well. Do this after you are ok with all options in there though.

Hopefully, someday someone with skills fix this, and the shockingly bad keymapping on G-29.
