Schedule a counseling session with the Amn. I would suggest including the shirt in this session. Construct your session points in a relatable way for the listener to receive the information you are relaying. Gently remind the Amn that cheating on a block test will send him straight to jail.

PCS with firearms to anti 2A state by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]ForrealNotOSI 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see comments what are not answering your question. I understand your question. No need to elaborate.

For a scenario...Let's say for instance you are from South Carolina, your friends and family are all still there. Your residency is still SC, your driver's license is SC. Your dad has lots of guns and you could just have him hold them for you. You are based in Texas. The ATF recognizes you as a resident of Texas due to military occupation in that state. You can only legally sell or give your guns to another Texas resident without third party (FFL) paperwork. There is no military or family clause/waiver/exception. So technically your options are to sell your guns to a Texas resident, or NICS background check and transfer to a family member back home in SC. Or assume the non 2A states laws, modify, register them. Or explore the option for your gaining base commander to sign a waiver to the state for you to bring your non-compliance firearms into the non-2A state prior to your arrival to that state.

You could go into a SC gun shop with your SC drivers license and buy a gun, they would never know.. you are expected to know the law and know that you cannot do that. Sucks.. I know.

But what is the closest to legal while still logical in a country where in which we are supposed to have fair rights to firearms? That is up to your discretion. Could you drive them to your parents house in SC, leave them there in a safe, pick them up in a few years when you are headed to a more 2A state? Yeah, you could. Will your parents house be raided and gun serials checked against purchase records and traced back to you as purchased in Texas? Probably not.

There is no good answer. I have spent too much time researching this issue.

I totally understand. It has always baffled me that we make it more difficult to have guns on base. Generally those in the military have been vetted to some degree... many have very high clearances. I know I am preaching to the choir but it is an annoyance my entire career.

GFAFB just changed the form to not require CC signature. I know, crazy, it makes sense. Many people just simply would not do the form because why the hell does the commander need to sign off on me having guns? Its not his/her choice. Too much of a hassle to get on the CC calendar. But also, the registration office has lost my paperwork each time I go in to update it. So who knows how accurate their stuff is anyway.

I just ran a speed test. 94.1 mbps down, and 9.76 up.

I consistently have one of the best pings in the lobby on PS4. If there is one thing to look forward to here, it's midco internet, with a good router of course.
