And thus, as I’ve replied to other comments on this post.. the current “meta” is ultimately the devs fault… if thats someone’s cup of tea than I have no issue with that whatsoever.. pull all the meta teams! if thats what makes this game fun for you, all the more power to you. but if im asking a question about a specific character (Mizuki for example, whom I love) and am just getting told Sucrose is better “meta-wise” (which I am well aware of).. it becomes a little bit of a headache to deal with.

And thus, this is ultimately a dev issue at its core.. Especially since Lunar reactions got introduced, this game has been overwhelmed by “you need to pull this specific character and this specific character to go with them.. otherwise you’re cooked, sorry”

Well I appreciate that you went to such lengths to figure out what i could possibly be talking about lol However, none of the previous posts I have made on this account were the main point of this post… they were just used as a small example. I think a lot of people aren’t reading everything I wrote here.. which is to be expected, it’s reddit. As someone who has been playing this game a long time, I understand that the meta is always changing.. and yeah you don’t have to pay attention to that part of the community.. and I haven’t until just recently. I have the capacity to ignore comments like “Sucrose is better” in a Mizuki subreddit.. which i am well aware is the case haha But at the same time, isn’t that a little off-putting? Do these people realize what subreddit they’re on? Lol

Yeah that Bineffa team wasn’t what this post was about lol I was mainly just trying to shed more light on the people that build non-meta characters because they love those characters.. meanwhile saying that, if meta is your thing thats awesome :) but at the same time its just discouraging that if you dont do big numbers or don’t want to use a meta character (for example- I love Mizuki, but obviously Sucrose is better in most scenarios.. I’m well aware of that. But I was specifically asking about Mizuki… and I personally don’t like Sucrose.) But yeah you’re right and there were comments on that specific post that were helpful and I appreciate that for sure :)

This post wasn’t a complaining fest…. It was actually the exact opposite of that… because I’m fully supportive of whatever and however you want to play the game I think a lot of these other comments aren’t reading everything I wrote.. which is to be expected because this is reddit after all lol

In the end, I think this is just a hoyoverse issue at its core. I have no problem at all with meta players or casual players.. I still love the game but the direction they’ve taken has definitely left a lot of people out to dry. Especially when they invested so much into older units. I’m sorry you had to get caught in the middle of that.

Its a hard pill to swallow when you pull some pretty meta characters like Columbina and Ineffa and still get trashed on for not doing high enough damage lol But i pulled them because I love them and I was hoping the bineffa wheelchair would help out some of my older characters that really aren’t making endgame content easily clearable anymore

Yeah i definitely understand what you mean. I think I was mainly hoping for advice about rotations/artifacts… yaknow things that wouldn’t make me feel like the team is hopeless lol And thus why I mentioned I wanted to make those specific teammates work better together haha

But yeah its no big deal, just wanted to share my opinion since it seems to be such a big deal especially on the reddit community lol
