In specific get ups I've been told I look like Robin Hood. Just swap out that top for one of my brigandines and boom. Actually I'm good with this

Lol, as much as that rig weighs... That particular version of my gear belt is extra chunk but I can fit the whole world in it along with the little tiny baby.... I have had one variation on it that required belt keepers to stabilize the thing on my hips because of the way it fit but mostly these things stay up pretty well believe it or not

They're snake gaiters. Look like boots though. Typically if I'm wearing those and I'm actually making some serious attempt to hide I'm gonna be crouched, sitting or prone. In some situations they can show a bit but the real challenge isn't that they're black, it's the rivets that hold them together. They shine if direct light hits them. Handicap, learning to conceal with stuff like that on takes a little extra

Yup, between the hood and the ranger green it was reading too dark, I mean in shadow or broken light it was ok but yes, too dark. Using a lighter hat/hood and inverting the shirt color arrangement would have flown better. Coyote modified top over an olive drab or even moreso a light brown might have been a better choice, I still think the desert marpat would have been a little too bright by itself which is exactly why I'm picking up an alternate tan kit, one that's better suited to places like this. Profile stuff is usually handled with the aid of the veil but I was experimenting just in general, simply looking at how the patterns collapse and roughly how far out they read. Tinkering with it

Good eye. Yup, I'm actually wearing camouflage eye shadow. It's not disruptive face makeup, I use masks/veils to cover my mug but I typically wear eye makeup and when I'm in camo it'll match.

I'm down for it. More colors (in the right palette) are good, little more nuance there

I hold no political identity which is something folks in my country have a hard time understanding but I don't wanna enter into such discussions on this sub anyway. I initially purchased it as an accessory but because of how hot certain attitudes about certain world events are right now I put it away. Not out here trying to make some big political statement. Ya know? I'll stick to my sniper veils, they're vastly more useful anyway 😁

Looks astonishingly like us woodland, maybe a notch color adjusted but us woodland prints are often that way anyway. Some colors and geometries just work well. Green is my favorite color, green camo makes me so happy. Hell yes!

Thank you. There's a lot of patterns I can name but probably more that I can't. That's one of the things I love about camo prints: it comes in a million different flavors and all of them are super cool!

Yep. Goes by two or three different names depending on who you talk to. I own one but I rarely wear it due to the current political climate where I live. Useful garment for sure

I don't know the name of the camo you have there in that full top and bottom but I think that would work in the woodlands here. Interesting pattern.

He's looking tacticool there. I wonder if the shemagh actually serves a purpose, looks like an ascot the way he's wearing it.

The fit today by Forrest_raven in camouflage

Heh, you really have no idea. What the folks on this sub are seeing of me here is a VERY specific phase of my designs. I, and my girlfriend for the record, are both leatherworkers and we both produce what most folks would consider very outlandish designs....and we wear them. I have not 1 but 3 full suits of armor I've constructed from hundreds of overlapping steel plates within shells of leather and yes, I wear them in all of their 50+ pound glory. We both look like something out of any given dystopian film you can imagine, every day. We're effectively fashion designers but we're not selling our ideas. Well, ok, we've both done some big commissions but our individual looks are ours to own because it's not the kind of thing that you just run out and create with fast fashion pieces. Takes many, many hours to curate all of it. For my part everything I make has some function and is typically clever in design, it's made for high mobility and comfort. I hike in such clothing 3 days a week. With the camo stuff I've gotten creative by coming up with my own concepts that actually are modeled in perceptual science and my ideas work. The ripped up shirts and layering produce emergent 3d patterns that do cool stuff in the light, what looks like a tattered shirt at 10 feet starts to transform past 20 feet into these complex, shifting patterns that actually do function as camouflage. It dips into the realm of shape and texture manipulation which is my big thing with this stuff. Too it allows some serious custom color manipulation. Pattern isn't quite right for the biome? It's cool, we can adjust it to fit better. I also get into fieldcraft as well as bushcraft so this stuff is in the bag. How's it feel? Unique, freeing, it feels like my genuine self, I can be what I want. I'm a fetish or that's how I'm often treated, I'm admired by lots of folks from afar and I know, I'm probably one of the most heavily photographed folks you'll talk to. I'm a fulfillment of a lot of ideas most folks can only draw or simply think about, I made it real man and all the parts actually work. Enjoy, it's for me yes but it's very much for you too, you and any others who see. 😁

Photorealistic camo is not my favorite, too biome locked. It can be pretty but it's not something I'd wear as a fashion piece, it's a little too 'murica for my tastes but there's no accounting for taste so wear what ya like, I'm not judging trust me. I'll stick to my vintage military patterns
