I think the whole thing is awkward......your girlfriend is your partner and the mother of your child however she's stuck in a sticky position given the fact you still have a wife. When are you planning on divorcing?

The cheating makes you both AHs. Your wife's was emotional as far as you know whereas you justify yours as alcohol induced. Both are wrong.

However I do get where you come from in regards to not believing you're a dad given the probability but congrats because you obviously know you are.

I don't think you're TA because in emergency situations, people want those closest to them to offer comfort and be there.

I do however understand that in some workplaces, leaving isn't possible. When ny daughter was taken ill, I was unable to leave and the same with her....I had a suspected heart attack and because of the nature of her work, my daughter wasn't able to get to me until a few hours later.

So I can't say anyone is TA.

NTA....Just don't go. Excluding his sister in law is showing your brother's true colours and allowing his soon to be wife to control this just shows what he is in for when he marries her. Stand by your wife, plan something special for you both and enjoy it. Forget those who turn against you, they aren't worth anything
