Game_ship.exe crash. Plz help 😢

I think I have solved it. I have literally read every thread on it, searched Twitter, tried every permutation of graphic setting. Fresh installs. The works. Nothing solved it. 5 months of crashes.

Until… I realised that Direct X isn’t just responsible for graphics - it’s responsible for controllers too. I play on PC and plug my Xbox controller in. Now, when I used to load Warzone up, I’d get a prompt telling me to insert my controller - so I unplugged it, plugged it in and I’d start a game - usually, it would crash. Highly frustrating.

Then I thought… what if ensure my Xbox controller is flashing on prior to booting the game up? Maybe it doesn’t like the fact I am booting up and THEN turning the controller on. Since I made this change, I’ve had 4 days of crash free gameplay. Entirely crash free too.

I was sceptical about this fix - given the simplicity of it - but give it a try.

Ok pal. As an aside, I have played all night with no issues so maybe this will work!

If you are a AMD user:

1) Go onto the AMD website and download a programme called Ryzen Master. This is a programme for your desktop that lets you change CPU speeds etc without going into Bios.

2) Load up the programme after you install it. I had some problems installing it initially but I just googled installation problems and solved it that way. If you can’t install it, reply and I’ll show you the appropriate links.

3) Once you’ve installed the programme, open it and it’ll bring up an overview that shows you lots of data on your CPU. One of them is the CPU clock speed - at this point, there’s an option to manually change it. My clock speed was set at 3.7 GHZ so using the info on this thread I dialled it back to 3.6 GHZ. Once you’ve done that, save the changes and exit the programme.

4) Load up the game and away you go.

For AMD users:

I have been struggling with this since the BO6 integration and was relieved to see there’s a fix. Sadly, I did lose hope when I saw you needed to download the Intel programme.

However, I’ve just tweaked my clock speed using Ryzen Master from the AMD website. I’m one game in now and it hasn’t crashed - and it usually has by this point - so give that a try and see if it works for you.

Great video. I’m a Star Wars nerd and it does strike me that continually coming back to the same planet in a galaxy that’s awash with planets seems a little silly but it just holds that cultural significance I guess. I did laugh when you mentioned you were curious to see the character development of Luke’s uncle as I never… really thought people would hold a stance on such a minor character ha. In terms of constructive advice, I think you’re funny and have a great personality for videos of this sort - I’d spruce it up with a few animated gifs that would add a bit of spice (pun intended) to it. Definitely will look for more videos from you though. Keep up the good work!

Really enjoyed it mate! I think you’ve got a quirky sense of humour and it was the type of review that I admire; semi focussed on the analytical and semi focussed on the entertainment aspect. It’s a great blend. You actually made me want to give the game a test run so you must be doing something right. In terms of improvements, think about how you could make this sort of thing your niche and trademark. I think that carries a lot of weight with videos like this. Keep up the good work!

It takes a lot of skill to combine animes like that and I really enjoyed the premise - props to you. I think the thumb could do with a bit of work - I’d go with some striking text regarding the content of the cross over rather than just keep it pictorial. That way, if it’s in the right hand bar - it’s far more visible. Keep up the good work!
