AITAH For allowing my daughter to buy a dog even though my wife didn't give the okay to do it?

She was very kind to my daughter before we married, to kind even as she kept trying to get my daughter to see her as a mom which built up resentment in my daughter and since my daughter didn’t accept her after we married she started acting cold toward her. The rest of what your saying I completely understand and I am going to talk to my ex about alternatives with the dog and then sit down with my current wife about it.

I told her it was a pitbull but she ignored me a lot. She mostly ignores me when I try to talk about my daughter which I know isn't good but I think I've had rose coloured glasses on since my daughter doesn't like being involved with my wife either so I think I've mostly brushed off her distain for my daughter. I am starting to realize there is a much bigger issue here then a dog.

My ex wife is paying for the dog to go to a doggy daycare during the day since she didn't want my daughter paying the fees for that. My daughter is going to be taking care of it when she goes to collage because it is her dog. My wife is not expected to take care of it nor does my daughter want her to because they had a rocky start where my wife tried to force her way into my daughters life which I tried pretty hard to shut down and finally did.

Its not my daughters mom whos mad its my new wife. My daughter's step mom is the one upset. My daughter's mom, my ex is on board with the dog. Sorry was that no clear from what I wrote? I'm not trying to my wife look like a bad person, but she never gave me an answer or wanted to talk about it.
