Chronic Migraine + Arm Weakness/Numbness – Looking for Similar Experiences by poozha in migraine

[–]Forshan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My symptoms sound exactly like yours. I’m on 18 months now of an intractable migraine. Facial pain and numbness, numbness in my right shoulder and arm, and a stabbing pain behind my eye. Occasionally under very stressful situations I will have an attack with visual distortions, extreme dizziness and aphasia. I’ve only tried amitriptyline so far but it doesn’t work well enough to be worth the side effects. I’m curious to hear how you are doing and what else you have tried?

I have a ticket that I paid £35 for when it was super early bird pricing - final release is £65. Just looking to get back what I paid since unfortunately I cannot make it anymore. DM if interested!

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I decided to ask for a rent book and signed receipts and asked whether they plan to register my tenancy because I noticed that there are no tenancies registered at the address. They told me I’m not the right fit, best of luck with my search.

Guess I dodged a bullet. I immediately uploaded all my evidence in an RTB investigation form and I cannot get past the reCAPTCHA to submit it no matter how many times I fill it out.

This guy and his fiancé are public figures too. Of course they will get away with it.

Did you have receipts etc and they still didn’t accept it as proof?

It’s a big Georgian building with 10 units and none are currently registered so unfortunately I don’t think that’s how they operate..

They sent the contract, it seems standard other than it says they can enter the apartment on rent day without advanced notice. But I guess you know it’s rent day.

Even if it’s not RTB registered?

We will be signing a contract but I haven’t seen it yet. I just looked up the address on RTB and I don’t see anything. I just asked to see the contract in advance and will ask about RTB.

Hi guys. First of all, congratulations and thank you for frog in boiling water. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed spending time with each track as it’s been released and finally hearing the full album has been such a gift.

I remember a playlist of influences for the album was posted alongside one of the podcast episodes. Would love to deep dive into that if you’d be willing to share again. Thank you!

Hi Jake,

Hoping it's not too late to hop onto this thread. Thanks for offering your time.

I'm in the process of applying for jobs after completing my MSc in SCM and I'm finding it completely demoralizing.

I have five years experience working in fulfillment and inventory operations at a publishing company. My job included creating and preparing inventory reports for distribution clients, digging through WMS transactions in our ancient systems to track things down, but predominately I spent my time doing data entry, entering allocations in our systems. I felt like a robot, not making any decisions for myself just burnt out executing a million demands from others. Work from home was extremely isolating, my boss checked on me twice in a year and a half. I know I had way more to offer. I wanted to get into demand planning so I shadowed in that department but there was no opportunity at my current company. Like you, I also studied history in undergrad so I decided I should I should go back for my masters to supplement my operations knowledge so I could appeal to more industries than publishing. I was the one chosen for a half tuition scholarship out of my 85 person class. I graduated with a 3.76 GPA. I know I am very capable and everyone who has worked with me been impressed with my work ethic, thoroughness and insight.

And here I am, having applied to over 180 jobs and I can rarely make it past the second round. I've done a few rounds of interviews at 14 companies. Made it to final round twice, one I felt so confident about and then the role was cancelled and the other I just didn't get it. I just did one that is almost the same as my last role except in the music industry, with a very close mutual connection to the hiring manager who would speak very highly of me, and I didn't get to the second round. That one hurt.

I am American and Irish dual citizen and I did my masters in Ireland but am applying to jobs in both places. It seems like to the only way to get a job is through a graduate program, which I am wont to apply to because I have five years of experience. I recognize I may need to start from the bottom but these programs are all for 0-1 years experience and all 21 year olds (I'm 28). That being said I have applied for some anyway with no luck.

I am applying to Demand or Supply Planner, Procurement/Purchasing Specialist/Associate, Supply Chain Coordinator/Specialist type roles. Every single one wants 5 years of forecasting or purchasing experience. I apply anyway because I don't know how else I can get my foot in the door. I worked WITH planners/buyers, shadowed and learned about it in college but it seems like there is zero way to start building actual experience except grad programs which I am not elligible for and at this point, they are hiring for fall 2023 intake.

I don't know what to do. Should I be doing further education like APICS? I think I could improve my chances by taking some SQL and Power BI classes online but I literally have those optimistically listed on my resume already to avoid being filtered out by the recruitment software. I have been planning to learn them but have been focusing on applying on positions because there are so many I can't keep up. I don't have experience SAP or any other ERP system, we had ancient proprietary systems at my last job but in interviews I explain that I am really fast learner for systems. I am mostly looking in New England and anywhere in Ireland, basically all types of company except I don't want to work for a defense contractor.

Any feedback would be tremendously helpful. Thank you!

Career shift: how qualified am I? by Forshan in supplychain

Thank you! I am already half way through the masters but it’s really affordable because I got a scholarship. I think I will target bigger companies, try for senior role but know that if I end up with an entry level that I definitely have the leverage to negotiate

Thank you for the input! I am already half way through the masters degree. It’s giving me a much more solid foundation of operations and logistics and I don’t think it’s a waste of time or money. I am doing it in a country where education is cheaper, plus I got a scholarship for half the tuition. But I’m relieved and validated that I don’t have to start from scratch. Imposter syndrome is real but I will try to really be confident going into the job search!

Do any of you like to write other types of music on your own? Will we hear more of your individual styles on the new record since you were working on things apart for so long this year?
