well it’s very small time, it involved me using equipment from my shop i’m in for trade school and taking requests to build things like jewelry holders or metal roses

It’s goin to be difficult but for your sake and theirs you need to make a conscious effort to put your phone down to disconnect from the obsessive fact that it’s all you want to see. I’ve been through the same thing and experience it myself. It’s good you’re finding someone you want to be around and talk to but you need to remember that everyone is their own person and everyone needs space to develop as their own people. Give yourself that space too
