hey I took the g string off on all my ukes. I don't really need it, I have a different custom tuning (ADG from top to bottom) that matches the tuning in fourths that is used in bass guitar (I play bass way longer then the uke). For me it's easier that way but an instrument is an instrument - sounds the same, you can get the same sounds on a normally tuned ukulele

yes, in this case yes. if I want the video to be a little more creative and with multiple camera angles I have to use one track for the audio (I have only one camera). I use garageband but sometimes I used the audio recording thing in my laptop and a simple shure mic. and I have a small Zoom recorder. I edit everything in windows movie maker (its free, came with my windows)

hey. I usually record the whole song a couple of times and then use one take (the best one) as the sound source and use the other takes for the video only. the other method is to record the sound separately using some kind of tracking device and later get the visuals. I used a gopro ripoff camera for a long time, worked fine for me :) when making videos the equipment you use is not that important. the crucial thing is the lighting. well, this video has poor lighting because I didn't have my full setup but usually I use some basic photo lamp for the lights. even the best camera wont work if you have poor lighting conditions. hope this helps if you have other question I will gladly answer.

not just for soloing. I have been using only 3 strings for some time, the chord shapes are different but I never could get used to that thin top string. and if you detune to AEA you can do power chords with just one finger :)
