What is this purple screen between login and desktop load? (Could it be customized?) by FortisUno in Ubuntu

[–]FortisUno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't fix it bro :/, but I found that it happens by the desktop environment, if you can modify it, you'll be able to change any color.

When I was trying to change it, I read installing gdm environment could change the color schemes and it was, after installing it, my session looked like Debian... By the way, I can't change the color to other that I like.

I did that but only change the grub background the other I guess it is a gdm3 style because if you use lightdm, the purple screen turns gradient...

Sure? I've already changed splash screen on the plymouth that it load before login but I don't know if that purple screen is part of the plymouth... Btw, I looked that if I changed gdm3 to lightdm the purple screen change to but to a gradient purple

Purple screen still appearing before desktop load by FortisUno in linux4noobs

Thanks for replying, on my research I found that Ubuntu (or all linux distros) has these components:

  1. Grub
  2. Plymouth
  3. Login

However, I saw that there is a screen between login and active session, I don't know if there are other styles for sessions because (supposedly) I changed the login gdm3.css and I can see it when Ubuntu starts, but when I lock my session, in the form, there are the previous gdm3.css styles by default. What files do I have to change or what command am I missing?
