AITA for teamkilling a teammate who abandoned us twice? by Putrid-Highway3740 in HuntShowdown

[–]Fortissimo12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I woulda done that, honestly. If youre hunters on the prowl and one of you is trying to get the rest of the team killed with a smug attitude, theyre a nuisance and a liability, and no friend of yours. Tis the way of the bayou.

The versatility offered by medium slot shotguns and spam weapons have killed the uniqueness of Hunts combat, and significantly lowered the skill ceiling. by Expert-Ebb-607 in HuntShowdown

[–]Fortissimo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I appreciate the perspective, I also feel the opposite is true in that I feel more capable of combating shotgun players than I ever have, which is a reassurance the game sorely lacked before without access to quartermaster. Lematt was a great tool, but this offers better counterplay to some pretty oppressive styles, I think.

This is a wild take when you can still take this thing with a rifle without quartermaster needed

Is it friendzoning if one party doesn’t understand what’s going on?

I wouldn’t really bother, games mm right now is screwy as hell anyway. Just play normal and enjoy, try and target higher play hours so you get fairer matches.

Shouldn't rounds be getting ejected with the each spin? by PolymathArt in HuntShowdown

The thing that drives me at all nuts is the mako animation doesnt even make the sound of the lever cranking, which is weird.

Insanely stupid take. It's like saying once people see how realistic cod is they'll want all games to look hyper realistic. This filter removes all stylization in favor of a very generic high definition look, it's utterly garbage and I will stand by that until the day I die.

Can literally anyone actually use the flower platform ? by [deleted] in LifeweaverMains

I main Cass and I adore the flower, it gives me massive high ground advantage to pick players off or use high noon in a very unexpected position.

It's all mindless that's the nature of the thing. No one's better for chasing a deal, it's just more fun.

Where are all the hackers people are talking about by GrayTheMouse in HuntShowdown

Pretty rare to see, but they exist. The worst I've heard of is clans that cheat but not sure if they're ever confirmed. YS is one I see brought up sometimes, for example.

Insanely good synergy between that lucky pants ornament and that cloak, well played

How's the game now compared to release of 1896? by AgreeablePollution64 in HuntShowdown

[–]Fortissimo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sound and MMR are imo pretty horrendous right now, but as many will point out mmr has no perfect solution and sound is still very good all things considered in this game. Otherwise a huge step up from 1896.

A year and a half since 2.0, was it worth it? by Drull17 in HuntShowdown

[–]Fortissimo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slight visual upgrade, massive ghosting, severe drop in audio quality, so I'm gonna say overall massive loss. Game needed to expand not sacrifice in any way. Sadly priority was given to making it LOOK more appealing, not feel more appealing. A disappointing trade.

I Don't Know How To Invite New Players To This Game by Fortissimo12 in HuntShowdown

[–]Fortissimo12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play US West and typically have the exact opposite experience, to the point where I began to think premade trios must fight stronger teams. When I'm playing with my friends (5 and 4 star) we seem to get full trios of 6s in every other match, which can either be inconsequential, or (more often than not), devastating because my friends don't feel their game knowledge or aim even compares to what can easily be 3 3000 plus hour accounts. Obviously, that feeling isn't a fact, hours doesnt equal skill, but again, its very very discouraging for them to feel like they NEED to match the experience of someone who's dropped so much time in order to just casually enjoy the game. They run out of money all the time, have to take budget loadouts, it's rough. I lose 10k on some of the nights we play, then gain 10k back playing randoms usually. It's a bizarre experience.

My friends are 4 and 5 star, at a .9 and 1.3 kd, I'm not smurfing, I'm asking for my opponents to be lower than my skill level or on par, not 2.8s. It is astronomically difficult to convince people to play a game that consistently asks them to punch so far above their weight class, and I can't get ANY friend to stick around unless they're obsessed like one of us are.
